For our simulation yesterday, we had a chance to encounter the topic ADHD. As I

watched the video, I really appreciate the mother giving out her insights and her hacks

on how to deal with ADHD children and how to manage them. We learned from

previous lectures that children with ADHD can be very hyperactive and easily distracted.

If I were to encounter someone with ADHD, I would remain calm and patient because I

myself am easily annoyed with those kinds of behavior.

With regards to the game, as I mentioned yesterday, most of us had a very hard

time with the clustering activity. We don’t know the things we wanted to cluster but at

the end there was an answer key and I was able to review it and have some insights as

well because ADHD is a bit complex and I also struggled with that kind of topic before.

But so far, I have learned a lot from the game and the insights of my classmates as well.

The key to managing the patient with ADHD is to be very patient and calm, that way you

can gather your thoughts so that you can do your interventions properly.
