Martyr

A martyr is someone who suffers

persecution and death for
advocating, renouncing, refusing to
renounce or, refusing to advocate a
religious belief or cause as
demanded by an external party.
Saints

A saint is someone who has died and

been officially recognized and
honored by the Christian Church
because his or her life was a perfect
example of the way Christians should
live.

 Rizal is known through his academic
and professional preferences that
communicate his values and concepts.
These are traced to his origins and
attachments to family and teachers.
 His Participation
The key activities that engulfed
Rizal’s time and best energies
were his concerns and
participation in the propaganda
movement. Being a doctor
earned him the accolades of
fellow professionals here and
abroad.
The Disintegration of His Death
Rizal’s trial, execution, and burial
conveyed drama that was hailed
by Filipinos, Philippine colonizers,
and other nationals. He was
adulated as the Father of
Philippine Nationalism and the
pioneer in Asian political
emancipation.
