Do you agree with the statement, “One rock is the raw material for another.”?

Justify your
answer.

 Yes. Rocks undergo three stages or phases namely igneous, sedimentary and
metamorphic rock. Igneous rocks are formed through the cooling of magma or lava also
called crystallization. It will then form neither under the Earth’s exterior nor on the
surface following an eruption. The result will then be exposed to any number of
weathering elements and it will degenerate the rock until it is formed into a sediment.
Sediment is then carried out by gravity into any basins like oceans, swamps and others.
After that, the sediment will be buried into several layers of sediment. The resulting
pressure from all the sediment above intensifies the sediment to solidify or undergo
lithification (conversion into rock). This sedimentary rock is vaguely situating until water
comes and fills in the gaps with binding minerals. Then the sedimentary rock is either
involved in vibrational event or mandated back into the magma flow into which it will
become a part of the whole system. This rock is known as metamorphic rock. This
metamorphic rock involves rock that has loosed its solid properties due to either high
temperature or high pressure. Any stated period of years a rock may be formed,
dissolved, softened, and formed all over again any number of times. And that means that
"one rock is the raw material for another".
