CORPORATE CITEZENSHIP - interchangeably used with CSR. Its focus is on what it can do
to aid the government (society) and the environment in general
CSR - ordinary people wherein they idolize because they give a lot in society. Not to create
wealth but to help the community

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - Its ethical obligations lie to its stakeholders but not limited to
them.
PHILIPPINE BUSINESS FOR SOCIAL PROGRESS has made significant work on social
development through the practice of CSR by
- Addressing poverty alleviation
- Environmental protection
- Sound labor practices
- Community involvement
- Philippine Business for Social Progress was established in 1970 during the time that the
economy of the country was struggling. A group of business magnates joined PBSB to make a
significant change on how businesses and companies can help stakeholders, more so the
economy.
- Ecology refers to the study of the ecosystem which consists of animals, plant/tress, bacteria,
and the physical and chemical environments with which it is interrelated.
Social responsibility frequently practices direct enterprises to deal with the natural environment.
MANDATE (E.O.192,S.1987) - The Department is the primary agency responsible for the
conservation, management, development, and proper use of the country’s environment and
natural resources, specifically forest and grazing lands, mineral resources, including those in
reservation and watershed areas, and lands of the public domain, as well as the licensing and
regulation of all natural resources as may be provided for by law in order to ensure equitable
sharing of the benefits derived therefrom for the welfare of the present and future generations of

CARBON FOOTPRINT - It is amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions associated with all
the activities of a person or other entity (e.g., building, corporation, country, etc.).
It includes direct emissions, such as those that result from fossil-fuel combustion in
manufacturing, heating, and transportation, as well as emissions required to produce the
electricity associated with goods and services consumed.
In addition, the carbon footprint concept also often includes the emissions of other greenhouse
gases, such as methane, nitrous oxide, or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). ANYTHING WE USED
