This Pandemic separated the people lots of establishment forced to closed, for
health and safety reason. This made the Department of Education to think of initiatives’ on
how to continue the learning of the learners amidst of the threat brought about by Covid 19.
This is how Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) evolved.

In line with BE-LCP of the department, Mabaldog Elementary School (IP School) has
put into a single documents its concrete action plans for the School Year 2021-2022 to
ensure continuity of learning and provision of basic education services in time of health
crisis. MESIPS Learning Continuity Operation Plan (LCOP), this document was the
development of a school-wide research, outline and analysis of the school situation. Inspired
by the full cooperation and collaboration of the stakeholders in the community together with
the school were continuously engaged in giving feedback and inputs since the start of the
present health pandemic. The gathered suggestions and recommendations eventually
guided the School Planning Team (SPT) in analysing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats (SWOT) in the school mandate of ensuring the continuous provision of the basic
education services while safeguarding the health and safety of everyone.

MESIPS teaching force will continue to ensure that our learners and teachers will be
provided with their needs and will be properly equipped to cope with this new learning
environment but always giving importance to the everyone’s health and safety by strictly
following the guidelines and health protocols of Inter-Agency task Force (IATF) and World
Health Organization (WHO).

This school year, preventive measures will still be put in place to secure the health
and well-being of our personnel and our learners under this new normal mode of teaching.
Teachers and learners will be given the freedom to decide which distance learning delivery
modality they would prefer and to contextualize the learning delivery modality of schools
which will depend on their easy and accessibility on certain learning platforms.

With regards to Access, we shall continue to share / provide division initiated and
quality-assured Self-Learning Modules and indigenized Learning Activity Sheets for kinder,
and gathered video lesson. Fit for the Dumaget-Kabulloan Tribe and fortunately the
department continue its program to give Provide a Learning Support Aide who will assist the
pupils in answering the modules and play the videos.

It is our ultimate goal to facilitate the safe return of our teachers and learners to schools
without the fear for COVID-19 but until such time is already possible, we will do everything
in our capacity to carry on so that basic education will still be available despite the health
crisis.

Introduction

Life Long Learning that’s EDUCATION defined, it is the process

of sharing of knowledge from individual to another, continue learning even in
a formal or informal method in order to acquire knowledge is needed to
become a good citizen of our community. Pandemic should not be a
hindrance to educate our school children and adult learners. Parents
participation and other stakeholders is needed to win the challenges in
Education. Collaborate with other people in the community is also a must
for now the “FUTURE Depends in All of US”.
Department of Education discusses different modalities or way of
learning to be used in teaching & learning process, parents may decide to
what they prepare for their children based on their resources and actual
situation. School Plans and Projects focuses on the health & safety of
learners and the continuity of learning. Challenge to all but cooperation and
collaboration of internal and external stakeholders can be a support for the
success of Education
This Learning Continuity Plan is designed to set strategic directions to
our school to ensure that school children will acquire the Most Essential
Learning Competencies (MELCs) in the midst of COVID 19 crisis.

DepEd committed to its mandate about the SULONG EDUKALIDA,

The Basic Education - Learning Continuity Operational Plan (BE-LCOP) is
the Department of Education's major response and commitment in
protecting the health, safety, and well-being of learners, teachers, and
personnel. It is a call for school emergency management, as it promotes the
continuation of basic education despite the situation that interrupt the
normal school set-up. Shifting to virtual learning and printed modular mode
of delivery requires thorough planning and coordination. Many questions
that need to be answered, how do the learners acquire the basic education.

With regards to Access, we shall continue to share / provide the

division initiated and quality-assured Self-Learning Modules and indigenized
Learning Activity Sheets for kinder, and gathered video lesson. Fit for the
Dumaget-Kabulloan Tribe and fortunately the department continue its
program to provide a Learning Support Aide who will assist the pupils in
answering the modules and play the videos. They are the Para teacher for
the Tribe children where the most of the families are not illiterate.

Many lessons learned during the previous school year when the distance
learning delivery modalities were implemented based on the 2020 BE-LCP. Indeed,

experience is the best teacher. These valuable lessons were gathered and analyzed
in order to make the necessary adjustments in the crafting the new BE-LCOP of the
school.
These are the Lessons Learned:

 Simulation of classes was focused only on Self Learning Modules (SLM)

learning modalities (printed-modular) and video lesson.
 There are teachers who do not have internet connectivity and are not
computer literate.
 The use presence of the Learning Support Aide is big help for the school
children during pandemic.
Here are the adjustments to be done:

 There should be simulation/review of the learning delivery modality like

printed modular.
 Capacity building on advanced ICT Skills development and ICT- assisted
instruction in line with professional development priorities (Strand 4.5 as per
DO 50 s. 2021)
 Reading, numeracy assessment and remediation could also be done using
two- way radio and cellphones.

Situational Analysis

Despite of the changes in our educational system, it is still confronted with

the challenge of ensuring that all learners will be able to stay in school and complete
their basic education with the help of Learning Support Aide, while teachers are not
allowed to meet their pupils

For this reason, alternative delivery modes of instruction are considered very
important. As the world stumble due to effect of Covid 19, education leaders
managed to come up with policies which helped bring that school year to a close and
begin another, no matter how difficult it is so as to avoid disruption in the education
of the youth. This evolve the formulation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity
Plan as embodied in DepEd Order No. 12, Series of 2020 which covers the basic
education requirements and interventions during the pandemic and guided by the
principle of ensuring learning continuity through adjustments made in the K to 12
Program, the utilization of a variety of distance learning delivery modes, and the
alignment of learning materials to these. Emergent alternative delivery modes are led by
the widely used Modular Distance Learning. It became the ADM of choice by majority of
parents and learners because of the limitations not only in internet difficulties but other
physical and geographical factors as well which precluded other choices.

SDO-Nueva Ecija caters to 196,941 elementary learners (SY 2020-
2021), 102,219 junior high school learners (SY 2020-2021), and 32,843
senior high school learners (SY 2020-2021). The learners are viewed by
SDO-NE personnel as rough diamond ready to be enhanced to attain their
maximum potentials, and eventually will be an instrument of change in
their respective community. The 621 elementary schools,140 secondary
schools, and 4 stand-alone senior high schools are the cradle of
development for the learners. Based on the projected enrolment for the next
school year, an increase of 12,077 learners is expected. This data implied
that increase in enrolment requires additional school learning resources
whether printed and digital in nature. It also suggests additional teachers to
handle remote classes.
