Bienvenidos amigos! Welcome my friends!

Welcome to the world of

Spanish! I am Julio, your faithful amigo. I’ll be your guide in learning
Español. Let’s learn together!
But wait! Why do we need to study foreign language? And why Spanish?
In fact, dealing with another culture enables us to gain a more profound
understanding of our own culture. It helps us to reflect to our own heritage.
Creativity is increased with the study of foreign languages.
Spanish is a romantic language spoken in Spain and in much of
Central and South America except Brazil and several other countries.
It is the second most widely spoken first language in the world, with
more than 400 million speakers.
Although many South and Central Americans use native Indian
languages as their first language, Spanish is continuing to spread there.
Spanish is also known as Castilian, after the dialect from which
modern standard Spanish developed. That dialect arose in Cantabria in the
9th century around the town of Burgos in north-central Spain and as the
place was reconquered from the Moors, spread southward to central Spain
around Madrid and Toledo by the 11th century. In the late 15th century, the
kingdoms of Castile and Leon merged with that of Aragon, and Castilian
became the official language of all of Spain. The regional dialects of
Aragon, Navarra, Leon, Asturias, and Santander were crowded out
gradually and today survive only in secluded rural areas. Y este es la
historia del lenguaje.
Language and culture are inseparable. Culture serves as a home for the
language and also as a vehicle to transmit, preserve and create language.
As you learn about the Latin-American world you will become acquainted
not only with the language patterns, but with some of the cultural patterns
as well.
In this module, you will learn Español en mas facil way! You will be
engaging to easy and playful activities. Each lesson contains activity that
helps you to assist yourself. Por favor amigos, answer all activities.
Gracias! Y Bienvenidos otra vez…
