In India, cash on delivery is the most preferred payment method, accumulating 75% of the e-retail
activities. In 2017, the largest e-commerce companies in India
were Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon. In 2018, Amazon beat Flipkart and was recorded the biggest
ecommerce in India in terms of revenue. In 2020, Flipkart heavily outsold Amazon by almost two to

The webinar 1 was about the equity market and the selection of stocks. The equity market is one of
the pillars for financial system. It is comes under the capital market. The equity market is regulated by

2.4.2 Webinar 2
The webinar 2 was about the cost of capital and valuation of stocks based on cost of capital. The cost
of capital is the one of the financial term which plays a major role in the capital structure allocation.
The two components in the capital structure are debt and equity. The proper capital structure of the
company change the cost incurred for the holding that capital structure. The cost of capital is further
useful for the valuation of stocks by discounted cash flow techniques. The cost of capital is the sum of
cost of equity and cost of debt. The total cost of capital is indicated as weighted average cost of
capital (WACC). The formulation of the WACC is derived with the help of capital asset pricing
model.
