► Presentation structure, logic and messaging are key skills required of every consultant.
This task tests these skills in a complementary way to pure interviewing
► Please select a topic from the list provided, and write a PowerPoint presentation setting out
your response. There is no requirement on how many slides you need to create but you
should aim to present for approx. 30 minutes
► Please state the topic that you are responding to on the cover page

Create a brief presentation / discussion document giving insights into the topic, as if you were
going to talk to a client or brief internal EY stakeholders on the topic and its implications.
You can choose how to structure your response, but we expect you to consider the drivers
behind the topic, the approach you would recommend to a client, potential design options and
rationale and implementation considerations and risks for the client.
Any other specific observations or sections can be added as appropriate for the topic chosen.
Your response can answer the breadth of the topic or focus on a specific detail within the topic
(e.g. a more focused response on a specific product or channel could be chosen for topic 3).
1. Banks are having to continually review their cost base as NIM remains low and new
business models emerge. What are the key opportunity areas for a client who wants
to reduce cost, and how would you identify cost saving opportunities across some
or all of these areas?
3. Banking customer service expectations are being set by seamless and rapid
delivery in other sectors. How would you approach the identification, design and
deploy opportunities for a client who wants to improve customer experience of an
existing service offering?
