I. Rationale
Studying the extent of differentiated supervision by the culminating activity facilitators on the learners’
culminating activity towards community participation in Naga City is anchored on the following issuances to ensure
that this work is within the mandate of Department of Education: DepEd Memo No. 144, s 2017 on how to craft an
Action or Basic Researches, Deped Order No. 16, s 2017 for Basic Education Research Fund (BERF), DepEd Order
no. 39, s 2016 to distinguish topics in Action or Basic Research, and DepEd Order No. 43 s 2015 in responding to
the call for researchers. This is in consonance with the vision, mission and core values of Division Change Plan:
Transform Naga in the improvement on the current classroom-based educational interventions and activities within a
school-wide, division-wide or nation-wide programs and projects for the school improvement in the 21st century.
This study will determine the extent of differentiated supervision by the culminating activity facilitators to
the learners’ innovation implementation towards community participation in Naga City.
Specifically, it will answer the following problems:
1. What is the demographic profile of the research subject facilitators in terms of age, educational background,
field of specialization, number of years in teaching, number of members supervised per group, and areas of
innovation made by diverse learners?
2. What is the extent of differentiated supervision by subject facilitators along innovation a. conceptualization
b. implementation?
3. What is the significant relationship of the demographic profile and the extent of differentiated supervision?

Title: SIMPLIFIED FINAL RESEARCH OUTPUT WITHOUT LEAVING HOME IN NEW NORMAL
SETTING (S/Y 2020-2021):
A CASE STUDY REPORT
I. Introduction
“In times of Pandemic’s uncertainty, alleviating difficulties via simplified learners’ research output is the
key”.
The simplified final research output of CSNHS-SHS students in Practical Research (PR) 1, Practical
Research (PR) 2 and Inquiries, Immersion and Investigation (III) in New Normal Setting is anchored on DepEd
Order number 14, series 2020 particularly on the first guidelines, “to ensure a safe educational continuity amidst the
challenges of COVID 19”; Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCS, 2020) especially in Practical Research
1, Practical Research 2, and Inquiries, Investigation and immersion and Work Simplification Theory of Benjamin H.
Graham, Sr. (as stated in the work of Jesse Newton, 2019).
II. Background
In new normal setting, the final research output of the SHS students will be simplified. There will be shift
from the usual research format being made and submitted by the SHS students from the past school years. For the
meantime that distance learning is the learning modality being recommended by the Department of Education
instead of Face to Face interaction between teachers and students, Action Research or Case Study will be the options
given to these learners.
The following are the steps/guide in simplifying the research output of the SHS students in new normal setting (S/Y
2020-2021):
1. In shifting the final research output of SHS students, there are options to choose from, eit
her: 1) Action Research or 2) Case Study.
3. Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSENs) will use the Case Study Format
