Hello, My Name is Maria Belen Bariso. 18 years old from Kinawitan, Daraga, Albay. I graduated at AMA
Computer College under Humanities and Social Sciences. I am looking forward to learn many things
about this subject.

1. Do you agree that we are now living in a shrinking world where distances are getting shorter,
people are moving faster, and things are shifting closer? Why or why not? Justify your answer.

- No, I don’t agree because for me the concept of a shrinking world is related to how much
technology has influenced the world we live in today. Globalization has contributed to the concept that
our world has reduce into a much smaller world.

2. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of living in the contemporary world?

- I Think the advantages of living in the contemporary world are, we have Educational
Opportunities, Job choices, better transportation, health care and medicine that can actually
cure you of formerly incurable diseases. Also, the disadvantages are having a lack of privacy,
environmental problems, and some people are racist and too sensitive to things like gender
and mental illnesses.

3. When you hear the word, GLOBALIZATION, what are the top 5 words that comes to your mind
which are associated or connected with your chosen course?

- The words that came to my mind when I hear the word Globalization that are associated
with my chosen course are technology, economies, services, people and information.
