(Attachment 3) – Projects Affairs 2021 Health and wellness KPIs

PA Objective
Improve Worker's Health and Wellness Standards Compliance throughout Ashghal’s Supply Chain.
Scope:
Review and improve Supply Chain Health and Wellness Plan.
Objective Description:
Health and Wellness needs of the entire workforce is a top priority for Ashghal. This objective focusses on improving the
standards of health and wellness initiatives. The focus is on working towards fulfilling legal compliance as per established
International and Local guidelines (QCS, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001:2018, QCHP Guidelines, Qatar Emiri Decree) in Health
and Wellness issues.
Objective 1:
KPI: Health and Wellness Index of every Projects Affairs Project in HPD, RPD, DNPD, Buildings and Beautification
Departments.
Explanation: Health and wellness Index is a score between 1- 10.
It is calculated as follows:
 10% of weightage will be given to multi factorial monthly audit checklist and this is being checked/ audited every
month by the supervision consultants at every site.
 10% of weightage will be given to average health audit score (out of 10 for each department) based on health audits
conducted by Ashghal Health Advisor at Projects Affairs sites every quarter.
 40% of weightage will be given to mental wellness screening program every quarter.
 20% of weightage will be given to physical wellness screening.
 20% of weightage will be given to implementation of individualised treatment follow up plans for physical and mental
illness detected by screening initiatives.
Measure:
Standard of construction site health clinics rated using the above-mentioned criteria (score 1 to 10).
Target: Achieve minimum rating as shown averaged across the projects for HPD, RPD, DNPD, Buildings and
Beautification Projects

Needed from Contractor:
1) Monthly Contractor medical report in Ashghal Template to be submitted every month before 27 th of every
calender month – this should include total number of workers, number of workers screened for physical wellness
every month nd number of workers screened for mental wellness every month.
2) Quarterly contractor report in Ashghal template to be submitted every quarter before the last working day of
the same quarter.
Needed from Supervision Consultant:
SC Monthly report – the audit checklist of the contractor site/ camp medical facility with audit score out of a maximum
10.
Objective 2
Audit KPI
Measure: Conduct Health and Wellness Audit schedule across the IAD Project healthcare centres (clinics and first aid centres)
in 2020 to measure compliance with Health and Wellness Initiatives.
Target: Total number of audits in 2020 = 20

20 Health Audits in total – as per ISO 45001 Standards - International Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines.
Ashghal Health Advisor will conduct these 20 health audits and will generate reports and send it to the contractor and
consultant team every quarter highlighting best practices and areas for improvement ( if any).
Objective 3
Screening KPI

This will be captured by the contractor medical team every month along with total number of workers in the project
and total numbers of workers screened for physical wellness and mental wellness every month.
This will be sumitted every month by the contractor medical team to the Ashghal Health Advisor, as part of the
monthly reports.
Objective 4
Follow up KPI
Measure: For those identified with chronic health conditions, implement individualised treatment plans to control the chronic
disease and mental illnesses if detected through screening initiatives.
Target: Achieve the targets shown per quarter

the patient is taken for follow up with a specialist for follow up treatment.

date are all documented.

Needed from contractor medical team:


Individual follow up plan for every chronic disease patient with details of previous and next specialist follow up, shall
be submitted every quarter along with the quarterly medical report ( before the last working day of the respective
quarter) by the contractor medical team to Ashghal Health Advisor Dr Surya
Objective 5
Mental wellness KPI
Measure: To conduct mental wellness screening of the entire workforce for mental wellness including contractors,
supervision consultants and Ashghal employees.
Target: Achieve the cumulative targets shown per quarter

Needed from contractor medical team:


Total number of workforce and number of workers screened for mental wellness every month. This shall be captured
every month by the contractor medical team and submitted to Ashghal Health Advisor for every project.
