GENERAL NOTES:
1. All Electrical work included herein shall be done in accordance with provision of the latest edition of the Philippine Electrical
Code, Part I and II, the Rules and Regulations of the local enforcing authority and the requirements of the local utility company.
2. All exposed metallic non-current carrying parts of motor controllers. MCC, panelboards, transformers, lighting fixtures
and etc. shall be ground effectively in conformance with N.E.C. and P.E.C.
3. The Electrical work shall be done under the direct supevision of a duly licensed Elecrical Engineer.
4. Pull boxes with a minimum thickness of 1.61mm (Gauge 16) shall be provided by the contractor whenever necessary to
facilitate wire pulling even if these items are not shown in the plan.
5. All works shall be new unless otherwise specified as existing or shown in light line.
6. All underground ducts shall be provided with concrete encasement, at least 75mm (min.) all around. Top of concrete
envelope shall not be less than 600mm below grade line, with a maximum depth of 760mm.
7. The contractor shall determine the actual proper location of the Motor control/panel in the field and make necessary
adjustment to suit actual site conditions.
8. Flexible liquid tight conduit shall be used for the connection of equipment such as motors, etc. that shall subject to vibration
to movement during normal operation or servicing.
9. Switch height = 1.2m
10. C.O. height = 0.3m
11. Sealing fittings should be provided in conduit runs entering from non-corrosive areas. Sealing compound shall not
be poured in place until electrical installation has been otherwise accepted.
12. Flexible liquid tight conduit shall be used for the connection of equipment such as motors and etc.
13. All material to be used in the electrical installation shall be new and approved type unless otherwise indicated
or specified in the drawing or contract.
14. All grounding wires shall be soft-drawn bare copper (SDBC) unless otherwise specified.
15. The resistance of the grounding electrode system of pump house and other equipment connected to it shall
not exceed 5 ohms.
16. All rigid steel conduit (RSC) in direct contact with earth, shalll be coated with one coat asphaltic bituminous paint,
covered with asphaltic tape and final coat with asphaltic bituminous paint with at least 50 microns thick.
17. Conduit routing are shown diagrammatically only. All wiring home-run shall be choosen such that it shall
be the shortest path to the MCC panel.
18. All connection between exposed ground conductors shall be made using crimped connectors or thermoweld process.
19. Power cable and control cable shall be separated by barrier strip or shall be in separate conduit.
20. The minimum vertical clearance requirement is:
7.35 m - along and across national highway.
6.40 m - In the city of Manila.
5.50 m - along and across driveways, alleys and public roads.
3.70 m - along and across residential driveways.
5.50 m - along sideways or ways accessible to residential only.
3.10 m - along sidewalks or ways accessible to pedestrian only.
21. Watthour meters shall have a minimum of 1.8m.

GENERAL NOTES:
1. All dimensions are in mm unless otherwise specified.
2. The electrical work shown in these plans shall be done in accordance with the provision of the latest edition
of the Philippine Electrical Code, part I and II and with the rules and regulations of MERALCO.
3. The service voltage shall be 460 volts , 3-phase, 3-wire, 60 Hz
4. The type of work shall be in Rigid Steel Conduit (RSC) unless otherwise specified. All RSC in direct contact
with earth, shall have a minimum of 3 coatings with a total thickness of at least 50 microns thick.
5. All metallic non-current carrying parts of motor controllers, lighting fixtures, MCC, panelboards, transformers
and etc. shall be effectively grounded in accordance with N.E.C. and P.E.C.
6. Whenever required and necessary, pull boxes and/or junction boxes have been installed at convenient
or in conspicuous locations for ease of pulling conductors, although such boxes are not shown in the
plans nor mentioned in the specifications.
7. The electrical work shown herein shall be done under the direct supervision of a duly licensed electrical engineer.
