To familiarize Numbers,
Days of the Week and
Months of the Year in
Tagalog
You will learn about cardinal and ordinal numbers, followed by days of the week and
months of the year.We will be having a conversation in Filipino to help you practice your
daily phrases.
Filipino cardinal numbers refer to
the counting numbers, because
they show quantity.

For example: I speak two languages.

Ordinal Numbers on the other hand


tell the order of things and their rank:

Example :My first language is Filipino.

Numbers Grammar Rules
Filipino cardinal numbers refer to the counting

I have three dogs.

Mayroon akong tatlong aso.


My daughter has two cats.
[number + noun]

May dalawang pusa ang


anak kong babae.
She speaks seven languages.
[verb + number]

Siya ay nagsasalita ng
pitong wika.
My brother has one son.
[number + singular noun]

May isang anak na lalaki


ang aking kapatid na lalaki
This is my fourth lesson.
[ordinal number + noun]

Ito ang aking ikaapat na aralin.
