COURSE DESCRIPTION:
At the end of the course, the students must know how to solve problems involving rational,
exponential, and logarithmic functions; to solve business – related problems; and to apply logic to real –
life situations.

COURSE POLICIES
1. Submission Policies
Make sure to submit on time all requirements as indicated in the course outline.
All requirements shall be submitted 3 days after the last meeting of the semester.
Submitted files shall be in pdf/doc format.
Take the online quizzes as announced and turn them in on time too.
2. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to follow the University’s Code of Student Life which includes
exhibiting the utmost respect for academic honesty, anything less will result in severe
consequences.
3. Attendance
o Students are expected to attend all synchronous classes. Attend the Virtual meeting five
minutes before the scheduled time. Use this format for easier checking of attendance:
Grade Level, Strand & Section - Family Name (Example: 11 PROG A – RUPEREZ)
4. Communication Policies
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Announcements will be posted in the LMS – Kite University webpage/FB page. Checking of messages
regularly is necessary as they contain important information about upcoming activities or class concerns.
Some announcements can also be communicated through the class mayor/president.
QUESTIONS:
Questions related to the course such as clarifications about assignments, course materials, or
assessments shall be posted the LMS – Kite University webpage. Classmates may share inputs or insights
to answer the concern. For concerns related to the course which need private discussion with the
teacher, students may use Facebook messenger or Email.
EMAIL/MESSENGER:
“Hi Sir Franz. This is (COMPLETE NAME), from (STRAND & SECTION). I would like to ask about
(Concern/Task , Week and Message). Thank you.”
Example: “Hi Sir Franz. This is Florie May Cabria, from STEM-1A. I would like to ask about our
Assignment # 1, 2nd Week. Can we use a graphing paper in solving the given problems? Thank you.”
Note: Do not send message asking general information about the class, please post those in the LMS –
Kite University webpage.
Twice a week the teacher will be available for virtual consultation. Virtual office hours will be Tuesday
and Thursday 1pm to 4pm using Facebook messenger or Email. Concerns and messages sent through
email will also be answered during the announced virtual office hours.

- Online Graphing (Logo and models) - Concept Map Making
- Business Portfolio - Individual Reporting
- Analysis on number pattern or riddles - Essay/Reflective Writing
- Logic Portfolio - Shall attend meetings in
ClassIn/Zoom/GoogleMeet
3. Quarterly Exams:
A pre-quarter exam will be given. Some of the items of the pre-quarter exams will be
covered on the major quarter exam.
No makeup exam for unexcused absence. Missed exams will be considered zero and be
included in the computation of the final grade. Make-up exam will only be given to
students with VALID excuse.
