6. Course Description : This course is designed to orient students and stimulate their
thinking on strategic social responsibility framework that addresses the tole of business in society. This also
provides insights for the students on issues related to values and expectations as the rights of the members of
the society. This course captures the dynamic nature of today’s environment as well as the evolving strategic
approaches to managing the societal interface with business, with the view of teaching and the students on
how business adapts strategic focus on fulfilling economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibilities
expected by all its stakeholders.

Students must earn 60% or higher in order to pass the course. Requirements
submitted, examination taken, and case studies must be submitted at the end of the semester.

13. Grading System

The minimum requirement for passing grade is 60% of the scores from the following:

Performance 60%
100 %

14. Classroom Policies

Aside from academic deficiency, other grounds for a falling grade are:

a. Grave misconduct and/or cheating during examinations


b. No late submission of requirements unless there is a valid reason.
c. A failing academic standing, failure to take the final examination and failure to submit
subject requirements.

Other classroom policies will be deliberated and agreed upon during the first day of
classes.
