Problem 1 (20 Points)


A recently completed oil well located 250 ft from a sealing fault has produced at 50 STBD for 6
hours followed by 30 STBD for 4 hours as shown in the following rate versus time schedule. Use
the information provided in the following to estimate the well bore pressure, pwf.

Problem 2 (30 Points)
Estimate approximate end of wellbore storage, formation permeability, skin factor, and initial
reservoir pressure from a buildup test data given the following formation and fluid properties:

Flow rate = 800 STBD,


Production time = 140 hours,
Flowing wellbore pressure = 400 psia,
Formation thickness = 50 ft,
Porosity = 15 %,
Wellbore radius = 0.3 ft,
Formation volume factor = l.12 bbl/STB,

Problem 3 (25 Points)

Geological interpretations of a fellow geologist revealed a fault near an oil production well. A
pressure build up test was conducted to confirm the existence of a sealing fault near the well. A
total of 13100 STB of oil had been produced before shut-in. Use the following information and
