STRIM'S

ESC PROJECT
2021/2022
What is STRIM?
Youth Development and Integration Association
STRIM was established in 2001 in Cracow, as a non-
governmental organisation, gathering people
sensitive for the social issues. It is one of the biggest
organisations working with European Solidarity
Corps in Poland. We want to develop national and
European awareness; moreover, we initiate and
promote all forms of youth activities. To do so, we
organize trainings, seminars, conferences, public
events, meetings and youth exchanges. We also
realise Strategic Partnerships projects designed to
develop and share innovative practices and
promote cooperation, peer learning, and exchange
of experiences in the fields of education, training,
and youth.
and what about ESC?
The European Solidarity Corps is a funding programme of the European
Union that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer and run
their own solidarity projects that benefit communities around Europe.
Young people from age 17 up to 30 can apply to volunteer or work in
various EU partner countries of the ESC organisation.
ESC volunteers are being integrated to the reality of the specific nation
through placements in various educational (kindergartens, libraries,
schools for children with special needs) and cultural organisations for
volunteering, additionally participating in integration trainings and
working individually with their mentors. We coordinate the same projects
here in Cracow.
OUR ESC PROJECT
Our ESC project will be held in
Cracow, the second biggest city
in Poland and its cultural capital.
It's a city full of people from
different countries, students,
young people, etc.
Furthermore, thanks to its
incredible accumulation of
cultural events and sights the city
was placed on the top 12 list of
the UNESCO World Heritage
objects.
