Paraphrase the poem

STANZA 1

• I was walking aimlessly like a cloud that floats over high hills and valleys. When suddenly I
came across the crowd of golden daffodils(countless golden daffodils), they were moving to and
fro and dancing under the trees beside the lake in the morning air.

STANZA 2

•They were scattered with the banks of the lake as if they had no end just like the stars which
shine. Stars that shine in the galaxy. I saw almost ten thousand daffodils just in a glance that
were moving joyfully.

STANZA 3

•The waves beside them were also dancing but I think that the movement of daffodils was
better than that of the sparkling waves. The joyful company of daffodils was a source of
pleasure and I kept on watching the flowers and I could feel nothing but happiness in that
company.

STANZA 4

• Whenever I lie on my couch to rest or in a thoughtful mood, the beautiful daffodils come to
my mind. This is a great blessing for me in my lonely condition. My heart is filled with
happiness. In this happy mood, my heart dances with daffodils.
