me siento feliz y liberada, todavía no “me

en Helsinki y siento que el tiempo se ha
ido volando. A veces extraño mi vida en
México y siempre extraño a mi familia y
amigas/os, pero en Finlandia he conocido
a gente que se ha convertido en mi familia

agradecida. Todas las personas con las

del mundo conmigo. Algunas, como yo,
seguimos luchando por quedarnos por lo

Hello with a touch of healthy nostalgia, to
whoever might need it,
For this issue, I wanted to write something
in Spanish as I am aware we have a good
number of Spanish-speaking readers. (It
can also be helpful for those of you who
are learning Spanish). The main reason
for me wanting to come and say hi, was
because I just closed an important chapter
in my life, and I wanted to share it with
you. I finally delivered my thesis not so
long ago, and although I feel happy and
free, it still doesn’t seem real. I have been
living in Helsinki for 4.5 years, and the
time has flown by so fast. Sometimes I
miss my life in Mexico, and I am always
missing my family and friends back home,
but in Finland, I have met people that
have become my family on this side of
the ocean, and I feel very grateful. All the
lovely people that I met at the beginning
of my MA are still at the end of the world
alongside me. Some of us are still fighting
to stay here for at least a bit longer. Only
time will tell where it is that I am going.

perhettäni ja ystäviäni, mutta Suomessa
olen tavannut ihmisiä, joista on tullut

alussa tapaamat ihmiset ovat edelleen
tässä maailmankolkassa rinnallani. Jotkut
