Course Description Develops skills and applies principles and strategies in writing for traditional and new media.

Prerequisite

Program Educational Objectives. After 3-5 years of completing all academic requirements, the BSEd English graduates would:

A. become pedagogically, technically, and content knowledge oriented teachers in their field of specialization;
B. pursue higher/post graduate education; and
C. become culture-sensitive and spiritually-oriented teachers in the practice of the teaching profession.

Grading System Following the Quality Policy Manual of the College of Education, the grading system below shall be used:

- Examination (Midterm and Final Exam) 30%


- Oral Presentation 20%

Classroom Policies Classroom Rules and Policies

Students enrolled in this course are expected to adapt to the so called “new normal” were education will be delivered
through flexible learning environment. Delivery of instructions will be both through online using messenger, and google classroom
or offline where printed modules will be distributed to students at agreed designated areas of respective barangays.

In this course, the student must actively participate or engage in all activities prescribe in the course. He/she has to answer
all required guide questions, problem sets and assignments with the given due date. Class discussion can be done through online
using google classroom where questions are being posted and a student may participate by simply entering in the chat box
(discussion board). Class chat box will only be used strictly for class discussion purposes.

If you find that you cannot participate in class discussions and cannot submit assignments and other projects due to
unavoidable circumstances, please contact me as soon as possible.

To pass this course, you must:

1. Read all readings in the module and answer guide questions, assessment questions and activity questions.
2. Participate in weekly class discussions posted in the discussion board. This will also serve as your attendance.

3. Answer and submit all assignments, activity sheets and projects. In answering such, you should observe the following:
a. Write legibly
b. Avoid erasures
c. Answers should be written in complete sentence, do not use abbreviations and acronyms
d. Cite your sources
4. Accomplish the midterm and final evaluation. If in case a problem is given and calculation is needed, affix your answer
in the google classroom but solution and calculations to your answer must be written separately in a yellow pad paper,
scan (using a cam scanner) and submit it after the exam proper.
5. Lastly, you are the learner, you learn at your own pace but sure to observe due dates. You may ask support from friends
and family members but you must do the activities on your own. As CFCSTian, we always need to demonstrate the values
of being culture-sensitive, adherent to laws, relevant and responsive, efficient and effective and spiritually-oriented.
