BE A PART OF BILLION TREE TSUNAMI

INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT

This project is by the Prime Minister’s slogan, “Billion Tree Tsunami” started in view of the
global warming and environmental changes. This revolutionary step of the Prime Minster is
widely acclaimed across the globe revitalizing my dormant love for greenery and plantation.
Besides at home, I started it at my work place as well.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

This project aims:
1. to emphasis the importance of plantation in the work places
2. to motivate peers to conduct likewise projects
3. to help in the decrease of pollution
4. to increase the beauty of the locality for attraction

PROCEDURE
As the DDO of the College, I organized the events in my college or two times, one in the month
of March and second in July.
Project of plantation in February 2021 was as successful as before which was recently steered. In
consultation with the principal, an application was moved to the District Forest Officer for
ornamental and fruit plants under clean and green Pakistan.

I received numerous plants including flowers and fruits. Then with the help of gardeners
and peons of the college, prepared rows and pampered the ground. Other active members
of the college were also invited.
After that, students as well as the staff members were asked to facilitate and watch the
plantation. The aim was to motivate the spectators to organize such events.
The recent event was also recorded in camera.

RECOMMENDATION AND SUGGESTIONS

It is suggested that the Govt. should celebrate a day of plantation twice a year. On that day other
activities should be suspended for two hours and devote the time for plantation. Moreover, each
member of the college should be allocated certain plants for pampering. If a card is displayed
before owning plant, it will further intensify the need of plantation.
