Sizing of Cable containment, Power separation, Optical Fibre etc.. Services

Company Info
Sizing of cable containment
To aid the cable containment design within an installation, we have provided estimated cable fill ratios for Office Locations
standard UTP cabling, if FTP, STP or SFTP cabling is to be used, this will further reduce the amount of cabling
that can be installed within each containment system. Contact Details

With each of the fill ratios above we have allowed for a 30% future expansion capability, also all fill ratios
include fill capacity for 90 degree bends and UTP bend radius requirements

Where possible we recommend the use of cable basket as this system provides the most flexible and cost
effective solution, and enhances cable performance due to the non restricted air flow, around and within the
cable basket, this is a necessary requirement when IP technology and Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions
are being considered.
