Evaluation of Air Canada: Strategy, Workforce and Competition

Summary of management:

Air Canada is the largest airline in Canada and the largest provider of services to and from
Canada on the Canadian market, both internationally and across borders. Air Canada is a
founding member of Star Alliances that offers the greatest air transport network in the world.
The reasons behind Air Canada's selection are that it is in the fifth straight year list of the top
100 employers in Canada. In 2018, the Airline Passenger Experience Association also
awarded Air Canada a Five Star Global Award (APEX).

Through my research, I have learned that there is a connection between air Canada's mission
and commercial strategy. They have a strategy to help them achieve their objectives; they
strive to continuously improve customer experience and employee engagement, and to
provide shareholders with value through their focus on four core goals. There are also
numerous reasons why Air Canada has been selected from the top 100 employers list in
Canada. Air Canada seeks comments on all aspects from design to final decorations from its
personnel. Through the outstanding Air Canada Foundation, the corporation sponsors various
organisations and projects that focus on health and welfare for children. The competitive
benefits that Air Canada provides include air Canada holidays, air Canada freight, air jet, etc.

With regard to supply chain management, Air Canada has the suppliers' code of conduct,
supporting their objective of operating responsibly and morally, as an integral part of a
responsible and sustainable supply strategy. Air Canada offers flexible arrangements for its
employees on the basis of the nature of the role with respect to flexible working alternatives.
Finally, Air Canada is constantly growing and its future targets are clear. Operating revenues
in 2018 were recorded at $18.1 billion. The first 45 A220-300 aircraft (previously C Series
bombardier) are welcome in their fleet in 2019 as they progress with the rehabilitation and
rehabilitation of their narrow fleet.

Introduction

Air Canada is the largest airline in Canada and the largest provider of services to and from
Canada on the Canadian market, both internationally and across borders. Air Canada is a
founding member of Star Alliances that offers the greatest air transport network in the world.
Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA), the precursor of Air Canada, opened its inaugural flight on 1
September 1937. By 1964, TCA had matured into Canada's domestic airline; its name had
been renamed Air Canada. It was privatised in 1989.

Air Canada is one of the top 20 airlines with 30 000 employees worldwide. The company's
central office is in Montreal. The reasons behind Air Canada's selection are that it is in the
fifth straight year list of the top 100 employers in Canada. In 2018, the Airline Passenger
Experience Association also awarded Air Canada a Five Star Global Award (APEX). Air
Canada is the only global network carrier in North America to have obtained a four-star rating
by an independent UK survey firm, Skytrax. The objective of this task is to demonstrate the
relationship between the organisation's vision, mission and corporate strategy and why
companies are to be included in the list of the 100 best employers in Canada. It will also
provide information on the competitive edge of the company, including supply chain
management. In addition, the employees will receive information on flexible work choices,
growth and future ambitions of the company.
The link between the vision, task and strategy declarations of the organisation

Air Canada's primary objective is to be one of the world's top airlines. Air Canada's vision,
mission and business strategy are closely related, mission and vision strategies are developed.
In order to achieve this objective, it tries to constantly improve custody and employee
engagement by focussing on four main tasks:

Identification and implementation of cost reduction and income enhancement initiatives.

Sustainable development prospects and competitive qualities are used to correctly broaden
margins by increasing connecting traffic through its global strategic gates in Toronto,
Vancouver and Montreal and by growing and competing in the leisure industry from and to
Canada.

Encourage customers by consistently improving their travel experience and by continuously

providing exceptional customer services, with a focus on premium products and passengers.

Promoting positive cultural transformation through participation initiatives for employees.

This includes considerable training investments and other tools to encourage excellent client
experience and to foster more cooperation and acknowledgment in the supporting and
enriching environment of how the airline and its trained workforce may work more closely
together.

Air Canada plans to achieve several additional significant targets in 2019:

To maintain safety, the Boeing 737 MAX must effectively re-establish, when applicable, all
training and other relevant procedures.

To everyone of your workers, instal the multifactor authenticator programme.

Air Canada continues to expand its network by announcing the introduction of new
destinations in 2019.

The first 45 A220-300 aircraft (previously C Series bombardier) are welcome in their fleet in
2019 as they progress with the rehabilitation and rehabilitation of their narrow fleet.

Why is Air Canada among the top 100 employers in Canada recognised?

relationships is the responsibility of various Air Canadian branches, however most of these
expenditures are covered by strategic procurement, which also includes fuel purchases.

Moreover, the supplier code of conduct supporting their purpose of operating responsibly and
morally is a significant element of their responsible and sustainable sourcing strategy. The
Code is based on the notion and clearly defines the expectations of its suppliers in the fields
of the integrity and accountability of enterprises, the responsible management of human
beings and the environment in ensuring compliance with the Air Canada standards.
