A Reflective Journal in The Teacher and The Community School Culture and

Organizational Leadership.
The Teacher and The Community, School Culture and Organizational
Leadership, is a course subject intends to sow in the would-be teachers the genuine
desire to be professional and ethical in their behavior and their relationship with the
school and the community and the future educators would become school leaders and
managers themselves and to be fully prepared for a leadership and management style
that will support the building of a positive school culture. Also, focuses on the
partnership of the school and community which is founded on the concept that the
school is a creation of society and community which is founded on the concept that the
school is a creation of society and so the school must in turn serve community.
Being enrolled to this course is great opportunity for me as an education student,
because it made me realize every role of the teacher, the school, community, school
cultures and organizational leadership in/out side of school and community. It helped us
to understand how education in our country (specifically Philippines) and how it
changed throughout the years and how it will continue to change now to see a better
future for all learners and society.
The significant roles of teachers and the school is to produce a well-rounded,
civilized, well-mannered, and is globally competent in his/her area/field of expertise.
person whose more likely that has something to contribute in the future society to come.
The community’s role is to help the learner and school in times of need. I can say that
whenever the community, has the heart to help the learners, teachers, and the school it
brings all into one organization, when one the vision everyone will be responsible to
manage it. Everyone has an opportunity to help anyone in order for us to connect with
them to able to understand and make action.
Through this course, it reminds us, education students that we must fulfill our
major function or a role as a teacher, and a member of the community. I learned that in
our every own little way we can keep track in maintaining the child’s lacking knowledge
for us to be able to help them educate the best that we can in order to fulfill and mission
in school and for the community’s future. That as future educator I must learn to make a
School-based Management Plan, so that I can properly manage and improve the
education and in cases if there is an appearing problem, I will immediately provide a
better solution so that it won’t affect the child, teachers, parents, community, and the
school.
To be an effective teacher leader, I must be a both a leader and a manager, that
whose more focused on the vision, reliable, and can empower an individual. Before
becoming a leader, I must see myself first a servant leader because it’s more important
to see yourself like that, that to be a fierce leader were in people will be going against
your decisions. By this reflective journal, may it help me realize more the things that
were not understood carefully before so that I can understand and apply the lessons
that was thought.
