The Mineline™ MMP Medium-Duty Precleaner tackles those tough applications where

the standard-duty precleaner is not sturdy enough but the heavy-duty cleaner is overkill. The
MMP is built tough with a heavy-duty pole, a larger, powerful blade and a beefy, dual tensioning
system. Yet installation is simple, maintenance is quick, and bottom line—the cleaning job is excellent.

The MMP uses a 10" (250 mm) TuffShear™ blade that has the same patented design as Flexco’s successful ConShear™
solid blade. The larger blade provides the optimal increased blade tip tension on the belt to peel off materials on
high-speed and high-load conveyor applications. The blade’s proprietary urethane formulation is designed for high
abrasion resistance and extended wear life. Each blade has 6" (150 mm) of useable urethane. That means in most
cases, the TuffShear blade will provide 20% to 30% longer wear than conventional blades. And TuffShear is compatible
with all Flexco mechanical splices.

Constant Blade-to-Belt
Cleaning Force.
Mineline’s exclusive “Material Path Option” allows the user to pick the blade width
that matches his belt’s material path. This eliminates the unused blade width that runs
almost to the belt's edges and increases the differential wear pattern on the blade.
In this case, the blade will not maintain constant blade-to-belt contact, resulting in
inconsistent cleaning efficiency and increased blade tensioning maintenance. Each
MMP cleaner pole has three options for selecting the correct TuffShear blade width
for the conveyor’s material path. Selecting the correct blade width reduces differential
wear and ensures continuous belt contact, improved cleaning consistency and The faceted profile design allows

cleaning power.

Visual Tension Check.

Optimal blade tensioning on the belt is the key to good cleaning performance.
Most cleaners start out doing a decent job, but soon the blade wears a little.
Consequently, the tension is reduced, and so is the cleaning efficiency. And,
because of the tensioner design in most cases, the user has no way of determining
again what the optimal tension is when doing the retensioning maintenance.

The MMP has dual Quick Mount Tensioners (QMTs). These self-contained
spring tensioning units have two major benefits: 1) the springs store enough
energy to keep the blade powered to the belt and require only 2 – 3 retensioning
maintenance adjustments through the life of the blade; and 2) the blade tension
can be visually inspected. When the cleaner is installed, the spring is set to a
predetermined length depending upon the blade width. This length is specified on
a Spring Length Label that is adhered to the tensioner for easy reference. A quick
measurement of the spring and a few turns on the adjusting nuts can bring the
blade back to optimal tension.

MMP Easy to Install. Simple to Service.

MEDIUM-DUTY All MMP Precleaners come complete with mounting plates and assembled tensioners that are
PRECLEANER ready to install. Step-by-step, illustrated installation instructions include specific measurements for
exact pole location; and optional measurements are also provided to make it easier to work around
obstructions. The universal mounting plates can be bolted or welded to the chute or conveyor
structure. Three-piece telescoping poles are lighter to lift and easier to position in the mounting
plates. Optional mounting bars and plates are also available to provide a mounting surface on open
belt heads. Very little service is required. An occasional check of the blade tension and simple
retensioning is about all that is required between blade replacement maintenance.
