APPLICATION PROCESS

Requirements
A. Filled-out application form;
B. Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae; and
C. General Department Action Plan.

Application Period
A. Interested applicants must fill out the application form completely and attach their
comprehensive CV.

C. Deadline of application is July 30, 2021, 11:59PM
D. Your application will undergo paper screening, and only shortlisted applicants will be
reached out for orientation and interviews.
Processing Period
A. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an orientation where we will give instructions on
the General Department Action Plan
B. The applicants will be given 3 days from the orientation date to formulate the Action
Plan. The Action Plan shall be submitted to goodgovph.execomm@gmail.com and cc
goodgovph.hr@gmail.com with the subject: “[POSITION YOU’RE APPLYING - Action
Plan] Surname, Given Name”
C. A panel interview with the executive committee members and representatives from the
core members will be conducted to review the qualifications and action plan of the
applicant;
D. After thorough interviews, the Executive Committee shall deliberate based on the
following criteria: Qualifications, Experience, Feasibility and Sustainability of Action
Plan, and Interview Results.

SECRETARY GENERAL

Qualifications
● 18 - 30 years old;
● An advocate of good governance;
● Has background with clerical work and administrative duties;
● Has good communication skills, organization skills, record-keeping, and file
management; and
● Passionate, driven, and committed

Job Description

The Secretary-General shall be the one responsible in recording minutes of the meeting of the
National Executive Council and General Assemblies. It shall be responsible for steering the
secretariat department of GoodGovPH. The secretary-general shall also be the one responsible
in all administrative concerns and safekeeping of documents in cooperation with the legal and
finance in all certifications (SEC, YORP, etc.) of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities

● Responsible for publishing and communicating individual activity reports and


organizational reports;
● Shall steer the secretariat department and supervise knowledge management efforts
including, but not limited to, documentation, record-keeping, and information
dissemination;
● Coordinate with the finance and logistics department and board of directors in
complying with the legal requirements of institutions like SEC, BIR, YORP, etc.;
● Keep the records and proceedings of all the engagements of the organization;
● Perform duties as the executive committee deems necessary.

DIRECTOR FOR CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Qualifications
● 18 - 30 years old;
● An advocate of good governance;
● Has a background with leading a team;
● Has a great grasp of how civic engagement works and regional ground work; and
● Passionate, driven, and committed

Job Description

The Director for Civic Engagement shall be responsible for leading the GoodGovPH network
and the regional affairs of GoodGovPH.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Spearhead and supervise the GoodGovPH network;


● Supervise the regional coordinators and represent GoodGovPH in all its regional affairs
by coordinating with the respective regional coordinators;
● Steer and lead the Civic Engagement Department of GoodGovPH;
● Regularly report the updates of the regional chapters and GoodGovPH network;
● Perform duties as the executive committee deems necessary.

DIRECTOR FOR GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC POLICY

Qualifications
● 18 - 30 years old;
● An advocate of good governance;
● Well versed in research and and writing;
● Experience in lobbying and policy writing is a plus; and
● Passionate, driven, and committed

Job Description

The Director for Governance and Public Policy is responsible for all public affairs
engagement of GoodGovPH. Leads all the undertakings of policy dialogues, policy research,
analysis, and consultancy on various interests, issues, and advocacies.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Manage the affairs and operations of the Governance and Public Policy department;
● Become the “think-tank” of GoodGovPH in policies, advocacies, and other topics of
interests;
● Preside, moderate, and initiate dialogues among GoodGovPH members;
● Spearheads educational discussions among GoodGovPH members together with the
Education and Training Department;
● Consulting body whenever the organization releases its statement on relevant national
and local issues;
● Perform duties as the executive committee deems necessary.

TERM OF OFFICE

The term of office of all three positions shall end by June 2022. Positions are purely voluntary.

GoodGovPH will have a retreat this coming end of July and August. All accepted applicants are
required to join the retreat. Details will be discussed once accepted.

ABOUT GOODGOVPH

GoodGovPH is a youth-led non-profit organization for good governance in the Philippines. It


conducts initiatives anchored on civic engagement, education and training, and policy
advocacy. It is officially registered under the National Youth Commission.

Since it was founded in 2019, GoodGovPH has engaged over 1,000 youth leaders nationwide,
conducted over 20 training sessions, published two (2) research outputs, and published
materials that have reached over 400,000 people online. Its core membership is composed of
over 100 youth in government, young professionals, and student leaders nationwide.

For its COVID-19 response initiative, GoodGovPH was selected as one of the recipients of the
Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards out of over 800 entries nationwide. For
