Report Wakiso Site Interior Paintig
Report Wakiso Site Interior Paintig
This report has been written in good will as a follow up on the interior painting work done
by a local contractor, whom I recommended, in the month of July 2020, having received a
complaint of a few defects from the client in the month of August 2021.
Its intended identify any paint defects, causes and remedies.
Findings/Observations
Peeling Problems- Some walls in the seating room were insufficiently prepared due to use of
coarse sanding paper before the application of finishing coat. It’s also observed that some of
the patches were due to damages due to furniture fixtures and had created points of
peeling.
Remedy- Sand damaged area and repaint
Light sanding Marks- Due to use of coarse sanding paper, and insufficient film build as the
silk malt paint that was quoted would not sufficiently fade then out.
Remedy- Thoroughly sand damaged area with low gauge coarse sanding paper and repaint.
Color off shade- This is observed in one of the master bedroom walls where possibly only
one coat of paint was applied as the available silk paint wasn’t sufficient making it appear
pale.
Recommendations.
We recommend the above remedies be performed so that these defects are rectified.
Implementation of remedies.
The local contractor has come up with a budget implement the above mentioned remedies
only to the extent of the work he did(which was only interior) and is attached to this
document, and is willing to contribute up to 50 percent of the action plan budget, in terms
of physical labour and additional purchase of some items.
