ASSIGNMENT
Create an INFOGRAPH

An INFOGRAPH is a visual representation of information or data, e.g. as a chart or diagram. A good

infograph is worth a thousand words. It is an important learning tool & will be an opportunity to
further develop an understanding of organization behaviour theory. Students may form a Pair or
submit Individually.

Each Student / Pair will be responsible for producing an INFOGRAPH relating to their assignment.
The infographic(s) should be in A4 Paper size. The INFOGRAPH should follow a 2 Pager explanation.
Instructions are as follows; single – spaced, 12pt, Times New Roman Font, 1” (inch) margins.
Submissions in soft-copy only. The INFOGRAPH must address the following:

▪ Identify an ORGANIZATION (Start-up / Business / Venture / Enterprise) of Indian origin. Conduct

an extensive research regarding the cultural OR leadership OR change related issues faced by the
organization. The Student / Pair will then prepare an INFOGRAPH following are the guidelines for
this exercise.
▪ What is known about the TOPIC (Leadership / Change / Culture)? What has existing research
shown? (You should provide a brief summary of theories & principles related to their topic,
drawing primarily upon the textbook & any additional research they may have collected).
▪ What CHALLENGES do organizations and/or managers face with respect to the topic? Identify 3
challenges. (You may conduct additional off campus research & critically analyse the topic).
Interviews and/or discussions with managers about the topic are encouraged.
▪ What are the students’ specific RECOMMENDATIONS to help organizations and/or managers deal
with these challenges effectively? Identify 3 to 5 actionable recommendations for each of the
challenges.
▪ INFOGRAPH will primarily be evaluated based on the students’ ability to think critically about
their topic & to briefly apply relevant OB concepts to answer the above questions. Academic
honesty is anticipated from the Students. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
▪ Class Representative (CR) would be responsible for providing the details to the Faculty In–charge
within 24 hrs of receipt of this communication. CR to submit (naval.lawande@sims.edu) the
consolidated MS Excel sheet mentioning the PRN, Roll No., Student Name, Organization & Topic
to the Faculty In-charge.
