 Fabrication of vegetable transplanting equipment
Agriculture is a backbone of Ethiopian economy. Ethiopia is a country with subsidiary farming
system with high holding of employers but small amount of output with relating land holding and
working capacity. If we work with integration each other the manufacturer and research
organization can improve Ethiopians economy. Our traditional faming system will fail to increase
land production and farmers economic return. During recent years the population of our country
increased exponentially to handle this issue and to guarantee the life, production of land must be
increased. Input of technology transfer is one way of improving the farming system and the
economy of the country. This vegetable transplanting equipment have high value for the farmer
by reducing the time expend on work and simplify the way of transplanting and improve the
amount of output also.
The customer of this product is not a single sector but also my equipment will be needed for
education purpose, for green legacy of our country and agrarians. Because it is manually operated
vegetable and seedling transplanting equipment. It is simple to handle and minimize the time used
for transplanting action.
Addressing this idea is not difficult it implemented by giving awareness to the farmers about the
equipment and integrally work with government organization. Using media to advert my
equipment function.
This method of production using locally invented technology needs the entrepreneurs to work with
local manufacturing industry.
The action to be taken for this project are following
 Creating strong connection with manufacturing industry.
 Creating strong team of mechanical and manufacturing engineers
 Purchasing material and machine used for the production purpose
 Linked with agricultural researcher and manufacturing industry
 Wake up the fact about the equipment to the farmers
The expected cost is for purchasing material for manufacturing and for the payment of engineers.
The surprise thing is manufacturing of this equipment linked or integrity work with manufacturing
industry for using their dropped functionless sheet metals and manufacturing machineries. So they
easily accept my business idea as it has multiple benefit for the industry.
I am benefited from this business idea as it is excellent way of starting business and applying my
specialization in mechanical engineering. Cost of production is less than 1000 ETB. But the
product will have sold with 3500 ETB. So the industry, customer, employers and the government
hope fully will interested with my product.
