Art Appreciation is a three-unit course that develops students’ ability to appreciate, analyze, and critique works of art. Through interdisciplinary and multimodal
approaches, this course equips students with a broad knowledge of the practical, historical, philosophical, and social relevance of the arts in order to hone students’

MISSION: The Dr. Aurelio Mendoza Memorial Colleges, which started as a mission schools, has through the years retained the legacy of its founding fathers. It advocates a strong
belief in a truly universal education, guided by the principles of existential philosophy that stress man as a being for others, the value of humanity, and the cultivation of
authentic freedom and social responsibilities. Its mission is the development of the total person with deep concern for others. The mission is carried by its curricular
studies, the elementary, secondary and collegiate departments.
GOALS: The philosophy of the Dr. Aurelio Mendoza Memorial Colleges is deeply and strongly rooted in a philosophy which fervently adheres to man’s freedom and social
responsibility, a strong sense for moral and spiritual development. In the pursuit of this philosophy, the Dr. Aurelio Mendoza Memorial Colleges has the following
objectives:

1. Foster a true understanding of what man is and his role in building a just and humane society;
2. Recognize and develop one’s creativity, capabilities and potentials to become efficient and productive members of society;
3. Develop an enlightened awareness and commitment to social justice and human rights;
