LESSON PLAN

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:


a) Analyze the lyrics of the song through answering the song logically.
b) Perform differentiated activity catering multiple intelligence.
c) Share their insight about Beauty and appreciate their own imperfection.
d) Evaluate the given Quotations.

SUBJECT MATTER:

Topic : Song (Beautiful By Cristina Aguillera)

Materials : Laptop, Speaker, Projector, Visual Aids, Marker, Colored & Bond Paper.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

A. Daily Routine
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Classroom Management
4. Checking of Attendance
5. Review

B. Preliminary Activity (“Guess Me , Sing Me”)


The teacher will ask the student to sing with her (Just the way you are) and
will give two microphones to the class. If the class stops singing, the person
who holds the microphone will be the participant of the activity.

The teacher will play a song, and then the student will guess the title of it. And
if correct the participant will sing the song. The student that will have the
highest score will be the winner.

List of songs:
1. Beautiful in White (Westlife)
2. What makes you beautiful (One Direction)
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Beautiful Girl ( Jose Marie Chan)
5. Scars to your beautiful (Alessia Cara)
6. Crush- Beautiful (Goblin)

C. Analysis
The teacher will dicuss a short definition of beauty and will ask the students to
evaluate and explain the given quotations posted in the board.

D. Abstraction
Presentation of the Song
The teacher will discuss the unfamiliar words.
Delirious – not able to think or speak clearly.
Doom – very bad events or situation that cannot be avoided.
The teacher will discuss a short background about the singer and the song
writer.

A song entitled “Beautiful by Cristina Aguillera” will be presented to the


class. The teacher will then discuss the song and ask the students the
following questions after listening to the song:

1. What do you feel after listening to the song?


2. What line in the song touches you the most?
3. What do you think is the feeling of the composer when she wrote the
song?
4. How will you react if someone calls you ugly or impecfect?
5. What is the message of the song?

E. Application
The class will be divided into 4 groups with the following tasks to perform.

Group-1 Create a poster or a slogan about Beauty.


Group-2 Make a meaningful word representing of the letters from the word
B-E-A-U-T-Y.
Group-3 Construct a short poem about Beauty.
Group-4 Make a short jingle/song about Beauty.

F. Assignment
1. List down all your beautiful characteristics and choose one to discuss in
the class. Tell us why you consider it as your most beautiful asset or
characteristic.
