A PROPOSED BICOL DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC
A. General Guidelines
1. Individually done. Manage your time well.

B. Design Problem
A cooperative of doctors with their respective specialization in medical health hires you, an architect,
to design a diagnostic clinic in Naga City which will offer quality and high-end facilities for various health
concerns.

These are the multi-specialized services to be offered by the cooperative:


▪ Cardiology – 3 ▪ General Pediatrics – 2
▪ Dentistry – 2 ▪ Geriatrics – 2
▪ Dermatology – 2 ▪ Neurology – 2
▪ Endocrinology – 2 ▪ OB-Gynecology – 2
▪ EENT (Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat) – 2 ▪ Optometry – 2
▪ Gastroenterology – 3 ▪ Pulmonology – 3

The project shall anticipate future setbacks (e.g. epidemic; pandemic). Proper lighting and ventilation
shall be applied to give the users a comfortable setting and the rooms shall consider foremost their
accessibility, particularly for elderly patients.

C. Site Description
The site of the project is a 9,600-square-meter inside lot facing a 12-meter wide Road Right-Of-Way
(RROW) with 1.80-meter sidewalks on both sides. The site has a 2% slope to the 0.0m elevation of the
sidewalk. The lot has a frontage of 120 meters facing Southwest and across it is a medium-rise office
building. At its Northwest is a vacant lot and on the opposite side is a mixed-use development.

* Observe local laws on zoning. Think of the design considerations while planning.

E. Required Submissions
▪ Use 20 x 30 parchment/tracing/white cartolina papers
▪ Rendered (choose your own medium)

* Maximum of 3 floors.
* Follow the complete drafting standards for all labels.
* Clear and readable drawings and labels.
* All drawings must be fit to scale.
* Provide additional sheets if necessary.

MANNER OF SUBMISSION:

▪ Take clear and readable images first of the whole parchment/cartolina/tracing paper,
▪ Then take zoomed-in images of the SDP, each floor plan, exterior perspective and interior
perspective showing all the labels.
▪ Use phone apps like CamScanner to take clear images. Make sure the paper is flat to minimize
distortion.
▪ Compile and organize the images of your drawings in one document in PDF.
▪ Submit your compiled images in BlackBoard in this filename:
