SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE CYCLONE V CLEANING

1 The contractor shall abide by the rules and regulations set by the
Company while carrying out the work. All the workmen should follow
strictly the Safety Rules and Regulations of RAKCC. The Safety Rules
and Regulations of the RAKCC will be available at any time with the
Safety Officer.

2 The contractor shall arrange all necessary lighting and other electrical
equipments after them duly certified by RAKCC
Electrician/Foreman/Engineer. Having an emergency lamp (portable) is
recommended. Welding machines wherever they are used should have a
secure earthing. Welding machines should be DC machines.

3 The contractor shall carry out the work under the guidelines of RAKCC
Production Foreman/Engineer/Manager. All the jobs explained by him
has to be carried out and keeping in mind not to deviate the quality of
work.

4 All the necessary scaffoldings are to be erected and it is under the

scope of the cleaning contractor. RAKCC
supervisor/foreman/engineer can be contacted for identifying the
locations and the extensions of the scaffoldings.

5 IMP: Since jobs in preheater are quite risky, as per our experience,
a number of blindings are necessary to reduce the dust pollution
and debris fall out. RAKCC shall identify the locations of blindings.
The contractor shall arrange to fix blindings to ensure safety of his
manpower during the job. Debris cleaning has to be done from time
to time to reduce overloading and collapsing of the blind and/or
scaffoldings.

6 The contractor shall arrange for turning of the feed pipe of cyclone
V before the start of the cleaning activities, to ensure that the
cleaned material is taken out of the system. He shall also arrange to
fix back the feed pipe of the cyclone V after the completion of work,
and brick work, if any.
7 Opening of the doors and the flanges for scaffolding fixing are to be
done by the contractor or his team, RAKCC will identify and locate the
positions for the same.

8 The cleaned material has to be taken out immediately so as to not to

allow too much weight on the scaffolding material, to avoid accidents.
The cleaned material can be conveniently shifted to a truck.

9 The contractor shall undertake the responsibility to cover the truck with
a tarpaulin cloth or similar material, so that the dust pollution is kept
under control.

10 All the above activities are to be carried out as per the given RAKCC
time schedule. It has to be strictly followed to keep up the time. The
contractor shall depute a site supervisor to strictly adhere to the time
schedules and for quality work. Since the jobs in preheater is quite
risky, deputation of a safety officer from the contractor’s scope is
advisable.

11 Priority wise jobs are to be carried out and ensure that the jobs are
carried out round the clock, till the completion of the job, and to the
satisfaction of the Production Engineer/Production Manager.
GENERAL TERMS:

1 The contractor shall arrange to pack the balance materials properly as these
materials are prone to water ingression.

2 The contractor shall arrange to clean the work area properly, to give an
organized look and a quality job.

3 The contractor shall ensure that his personnel do not consume eatables at
the work spot.

4 In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the Works Manager will be final
and binding.

5 The contractor shall ensure that his personnel utilize the necessary safety
gadgets and work as per the safety procedures of RAKCC. The
procedures, if required by the contractor can be made available on
request.

6 The contractor shall give the list and other details of his crew to the HR and
Administration department, who will prepare the necessary gate- passes.

7 All the workmen must have insurance and a health card.
