IMPORTANT
Dear Account Holder,

Thank you for opening a securities account with the CDS. This account enables you to
buy and sell securities that are listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). We would
like to draw your attention to some very important facts prior to you starting to
invest in securities of listed companies.

Investing in listed securities is one of the ways in which one can earn high returns
if carried out in a proper manner. However, like in other forms of investment, shares
carry an element of risk and you should be in a position to understand the risks and
what strategies you must use to minimize and manage this risk.

In order to better understand how the stock market works and how to make the market
work for you, it is important for you to gain a thorough understanding of the market.
In this regard we would like to recommend that you attend educational seminars
conducted by the CSE prior to investing.

Educational seminars are conducted by the CSE regularly in Sinhala, Tamil and English
at the Auditorium of CSE head office and at all CSE branch offices. Further details of
such seminars can be obtained through the CSE web site at www.cse.lk.

You should also visit the e-learning portal of the CSE at www.cse.edu.lk where you
will find many useful learning resources that will help you understand the stock
market better and talk to a registered Investment Advisor of a licensed Stockbroker
firm.

We would also like to invite your attention to the matters which are important to you
that have been set out overleaf and please take some time to read all of it carefully.

If you have any clarifications or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our
Market Development team on their hotline 0112356514/2356517 or write to them on
info@cse.lk.

We wish you all success!

Yours sincerely

Chief Executive Officer
