REFLECTION ON “SINO AKO”
“Sino’ng may pag-ibig? Sino’ng nagmamahal? Kung hindi ang tao, Diyos ang
pinagmulan.” Indeed, God is love. In the song of “Sino Ako”, I questioned myself, who am I not
to love others? This reminds me of one of his commandments which is “love your neighbor as
you love yourself”.
Every human being in this world is made by God fearfully and wonderfully. We have our
own characteristics that can be identified by people who surrounds us. We also have our negative
attitudes that can be the reason why people hate us. But that doesn’t mean that we will take
grudge to those people who hurt us forever. As what in the prayer said, “Forgive our sins as we
forgive those who sinned against us”. God already forgave us from our past sins even in our
future sins. Who we are not to forgive our neighbors?
This song remind me that God truly loves each every one of us despite the fact that we
are sinners since we are still in our mother’s womb. It is just overwhelming to know how humble
and loving God is. It also reminds me of who truly I am. I am a daughter of God, and I am one of
the chosen people. As His servant, all the things I do or say must glorify my master which is the
Lord. My actions should reflect how good God is and in this way people will see God in me and
will have the inspiration to follow Christ as well.
