The difference between chemical symbol and chemical formula is that we use a chemical
symbol to name a certain chemical element where is a chemical formula is used in
naming a chemical compound
4. What are two ways in which mixtures differ from compounds?
The mixture is described as a substance formed as a result of intermingling two or more
substances into one, physically. Compounds are always homogeneous, whereas mixtures can
be homogeneous or heterogeneous. In a compound, the ingredients are present in a definite
proportion.
5. List four methods that can be used to separate mixtures.
By Magnetic attraction, and by filtration, and by distillation, and evaporation
