Many people liked puto because of its flavor, but we all know that some

people can't eat it because they are concerned about their health, while

others are looking for different flavors to satisfy their appetite. CHAPTER

I: The Problem

Rationale

Papaya (papaw or pawpaw) is known as one of the excellent source of

Vitamin A that helps maintaining healthy vision, ensure normal immune

system, and reduces risk of acne. It is also rich in Vitamin C and E, and

antioxidants which helps the skin to be free from damage. Papaya is either

from Hawaii or Mexico but it is now one of the crops here in Philippines. Other

food businesses use Mango, Banana or Strawberry as their main ingredient,

however, in making Pan de Pawpaw uses papaya as the main ingredient.

PAFUNYA House sells food which includes their famous Pan de Pawpaw

and Ukoy de Papaya. The business also sells non-food product that is inspired

by Papaya which can be used in daily basis, the book marks.

However, this Feasibility Study will only focus on the viability of the main

product which is the Pap Cake. Papaya is a tropical American tree

(Caricapapaya of the family Caricaceae, the papaya family) having an oblong to

globose yellow edible fruit with numerous black seeds in central cavity; also :

it's fruit. It has many benefits to the body that could help on health problems.
One of the purposes of the business is to produce products that will

satisfy the needs and wants of the costumers. The business will also serve the

community by providing good quality service that will benefit people by selling

healthy food that are affordable, and by promoting local products. This is also

to determine the viability of Pan de Pawpaw.

Breadeya.

Methodology

In conducting the study, research data will be gathered using a survey

questionnaire formed by the researchers, also through observation and

interviews.

Significance of the study

To customers – this feasibility study contains data and information about the

viability of selling Breadeya, which will help the owners in determining what

other foods they can offer to customers.

Students – this research will be used as a reference for their business studies.

Teachers - this will help teachers to have example of a feasibility study that

can help them and their students to be knowledgeable about a business.

To future researchers - this will be used as a guide or reference for any future

feasibility studies that are conducted on a similar topic.

Scope and delimitation


This Feasibility Study focuses in determining the viability of selling

Breadeya at Magtaking San Carlos City Pangasinan. However, this study

delimits its scope by only determining the viability of only one product,

Breadeya. The study delimits its service by providing products that are only

made from papaya. When it comes to the consumers, the products can only be

sold to the residence of Barangay Magtaking San Carlos City Pangasinan.

Definition of terms

Technical aspect - it refers to the general details about the business which

includes the equipment, materials, structure plan, business location, and the

source of the supplies that will be used in the business.

Financial aspect - the expected amount of capital needed to run a business,

also the source of fund or capital that can and will be used. It also refers to

how the money will flow throughout the operation of the business.

Marketing aspect – to determine the extent to which the goods and services be

generated by the project are needed or demanded and to design the appropriate

marketing strategies and plans that will help ensure that the project’s outputs

will reach and be accepted by the target users.

Socio-economic aspect - aims to discuss and determine what are the social

implications of the study to the society, the economic implications and the

environment implications of the study to the economy.


Viability - this is defined as the ability of a business to survive. In a business

sense, the ability to survive is ultimately linked to financial performance and

position.

Feasibility - refers to the analysis of the viability of the product.

CHAPTER II: Marketing Aspects

Product/Service Description

Breadeya or Papaya Bread is inspired from the famous Banana Bread,

but was made from Papaya. Papaya has many nutritional value that can give to

human, it is one of the healthiest fruit, high in vitamin C, an essential nutrient

involved in the repair of tissue, vitamin A and potassium which are the key for

good vision and a healthy immune system, it is also an antioxidant that will

help the skin to be free from damage and reduce the risk of acne, and other

nutrients that is essential to keep our body healthy. Breadeya is prepared by

baking in an oven in a specific time.

Comparison of the Product with Competitor

Many food businesses are assured to have a chance to be appreciated by

many costumers since it is one of the needs of people. Competition in food


business industry are expected to have impact with the operation of business

since it will determine the competency of a certain business.

PAFUNYA House' Pan de Pawpaw has many advantages or edge. Since

the main product is a fruit called Papaya, the nutritional value is automatically

assured. Papaya is one of the healthiest fruit, can be a source of Vitamin A, C,

and E, can maintain healthy vision, ensure normal immune system, reduces

risk of acne, and also an antioxidant that would the skin to be free from

damage. Another competency of the business' product is its affordability.

Market Area

Today, the most likely to buy food anytime are the people that want to

have some snacks. You can notice that they are willing to try new food, even

the new ones. However, in selling the product for this feasibility study, the

target market is the residents of Barangay Magtaking San Carlos City

Pangasinan where the study is being conducted.
