INTRODUCING!!!

MAXWELL NDT’s
New Pulsed EDDY CURRENT (PECT) Technology!
Ideal for measuring steel thickness without having to
remove the lagging, coating, deposits or marine growth.
Easy to use, robust, reliable and ideal for inspections on-site.

Maximum Penetration Through Lagging = 10 “(250 mm)

FREE SOFTWARE UPGRADES, NO LICENCE FEES AND NO HIDDEN COSTS!

APPLICATIONS FOR PECT:

• Corrosion under fireproofing of sphere legs and column skirts;
• Flow-accelerated corrosion in steam systems of power plants;
• Monitoring of wall thickness (PECT has a unique ability for this);
• Testing and monitoring through repair wraps;
• In-service inspection of annular rings of storage spheres;
• Testing on marine and offshore structures through marine growth in the splash zone;
• Inspection of subsea pipelines with weight coatings using submersibles;
• Inspection of well casings.

Wall thickness range 0-50mm steel

Maximum lift-off range 0-250mm for WT ≤ 15mm
0-150mm for 15mm < WT ≤: 30mm
0- 60mm 30mm < WT ≤: 50mm
Minimum pipe diameter 0-0mm insulation:
60mm 30mm <2”WT(50mm)
≤:
50mm insulation: 3” (75mm)
50mm
Insulation sheeting Aluminium and stainless Performance on galvanized (magnetic) sheeting depends on its properties
Footprint diameter Typically, 1.5 times the thickness of the insulation plus the material wall thickness, with a minimum of 25mm
Typical accuracy of the ±10%
average wall thickness
in the footprint
