When to administer – earliest after the confirmed covid 19 infection preferably

w ithin 1st 7 days or up to 10th day of confirmation of infection

Whom to administer – Any patient above 18 years of age, for use in pregnant
w omen, breastfeeding mothers, those w ith decompensated liver disease or renal
insufficiency please refer to detailed PI

Dose – 1mcg / Kg (body w eight)

Frequency of administration in Covid 19 infection – Once only

Route of administration: Subcutaneous (SC) only

Maximum safe dose – 150 mcg in a w eek or 1.5 mcg / Kg (bodyweight) in a w eek

How to prepare & Administer

Step 1 – Withdraw 0.7 ml sterile water for injection in syringe using 20 gauge needle
Step 2 – Inject the water in vial of lyophilized powder and remove the syringe, let needle be inserted
Step 3 – Role the vial genteelly to obtain solution
Step 4 – Place the syringe along with needle and withdraw 0.5ml (equivalent to 80 mcg of Virafin) solution from vial
Step 5 – Replace 20 gauge needle from syringe & mount 26 gauge needle to syringe
Step 6 – Clean the site of injection with alcohol swab Volume of Equivalent to Virafin Bodyweight
