My Father was Divisional Telecom Engineer in BSNL for 33 Years and my

mother is Biology graduate in Biology and was school teacher in her early
twenties.i m only child of my parents

construction division. Worked as commercial Manager for 9 years

Extra Curricular : I have participated in Various debates ,extempore , poem

recitation in school level . i have played badminton at college level and
organised culture fest of NIT Raipur “Eclectika “.

Hobbies : I pursue cooking as my hobby

Interests: I have interest in reading fictional fantasy novels and watching

tennis and fitness.

Why do you want to do an MBA ??

Being a Billing Engineer for projects valuing more than 100 Crore . I had
opportunity to tackle various components of a project from finalizing vendors
after comparing feasibility of various parameters by trackling each and every
cost parameter of the project. But i want holistic view of business . how
companies raise money for different projects as there are many projects taken
at very low profit margins and even after getting mobilisation advance from
client.what are parameters are considered for taking any project. Example a
residential project was taken at low profit margin so that pune region of
shapoorji E & C division enters housing project construction in rest of
maharahtra except Mumbai . how top management decides to form joint
venture of two companies for acquring a project. sometimes while one
complete others project as contractor .

By the doing MBA i will have better understanding how different

decisions has been made and someday i will also have capability of
taking these decisions

Why that Specialization ??

I have worked 6-7 years of work experience in commercial
department. I have worked along with finance department but i
always lack knowledge of the subject.

Why do we select you ??

Xlri (GMP ) programme is for experienced professional with

extensive knowledge and experience in their fields . all the projects i
have done are unique in their nature . i have worked on a item rate
contract project construction of power plant project by indiabulls in
Amravati , a design and build project for Apollo hospital nashik , a
cost plus project for fomento resorts & hotels pvt ltd and a lumpsum
project with givaudan india limited and at last pune metro project
.during these years i have been part of on site execution team, in
charge of planning and scheduling before i individually handled cost
management for most the projects i have done.

i am always keen to learn fast to adopt to rigor . i have worked in

very demanding situation where i need to adhre to tight deadlines
failing to same had impacted project . xlri will give me opportunity to
learn from my peers coming from different background and i would
also get opportunity to enhance my knowledge.
 I pursue cooking as my hobby . i love cooking for my friends and
family. I also love to read fictional fanstasy novels.

I have done Btech in civil engineering from NIT Raipur in the year 2010 . i have
9 years of work experience with shapoorji pallonji engineering & construction.

My strengths are i am a excellent team player and perform well under

pressure. for eg. I worked in commercial department for several years , one of
the pressure situation used to arrive during every financial year closure. i used
to work more efficiently as there were stringent deadlines to be meet with
maximum accuracy also it required excellent team management spirit as u
need to coordinate with multiple departments.

My weakness is i lack time management skills , i constantly juggle dividing my

time between personnel life and professional life. It sometimes affect my
health and my family time.

My goal is life is to become key decision maker of a company.To become key

decision maker of a company i should learn all the aspects of business. how

MBA will be platform where i can learn from Human resource to finances
,marketing to operation management. MBA is programme where my peers will
come from diverse background and i will get to learn about other industries
not just engineering field.

Skills :

1.Collaboration: Collaboration with new recruits of the company , i developed

this skill when i got to train many newly hired recruits of the company. Rather
making work under me and try to be a boss. I can rather collaborate and
together we can get the work done. It gives them opportunity to learn faster
and contribute more and make them feel that they also important part of the
team hence it got my work done faster and with more accuracy.

2. Strength training : as fitness is at most important for both physical and

mental growth . i started practising strength training . strength training allows
you to push your limits everyday. It not only makes me physically fit but also
mentally it encourages me to push my limits.

During early years of my professional life , i was working in execution my job

was to prepare bar bending schedule from reinforcement drawings of the
structure. but for almost two years i was given same responsibility . i wanted
to change from execution to commercial department . i took opportunity to
work in small project of construction of resort where i was made incharge of
costing and contracts . i learned alot from that opportunity . i learned
operating ERP ,preparing contract document and prepared overall budget of
project without working under anyone . it made self sufficient . hence not only
i got into field of my interest i also got confidence to work individually .
