Department of Justice
Re: Associate
Governmental
Program Analyst

Dear Hiring Professional:

As an experienced advocate/counselor for individuals, the
advertisement for Victim Advocate sparked my interest. When
reviewing the position description and then requirements, I was
4034 11th Avenue excited to find that my qualifications and personal strengths align
Sacramento, CA 95817 with your needs and mission. I bring a comprehensive set of
skills that I believe will be valuable to the Department of Justice.
916-757-9059 In my SUDT counselor role, I honed my abilities in being able to
connect with a diverse population of individuals. Providing
understanding, empathy and kindness were critical to my ability
to connect and effectively counsel individuals. I was responsible
for extensive documentation which had to be completed in an
allotted time frame. Crisis intervention was performed daily and
my calm, collected nature allowed me to handle situations
smoothly and successfully. My critical thinking, people-centric
nature, and compassion have afforded me excellent results
Andrealeegarcia2219 working with individuals. My communication skills are
@ gmail.com second-to-none.

Having been a director and educator for several years, I am able

to learn quickly, teach competently, and advise soundly. I exhibit
patience and bring calmness to stressful situations. I have been a
strong advocate for my students when they were in need of
added support, where I sought out additional services and
programs for them. I helped parents when they struggled to find
answers in regards to the needs of their child. I facilitated and
coordinated meetings amongst several parties, including family
members of students, therapists, specialists, etc. As a mandated
reporter, I am well aware of my obligations to individuals. I have
worked with a variety of individuals including social workers,
therapists, and CPS on numerous occasions throughout my
career. Because of these experiences, I am equipped to develop
training programs, presentations, manuals, etc.

That brings me to my most current job at WestCare Foundation.

Here I work effortlessly to advocate for parolees who are seeking
recovery and a chance to better their lives. And while this is
somewhat the other side of the spectrum for which I am
applying, the principle of helping others is the same. The ability
to help, connect, teach, and advocate for those in need is
present. I have been afforded the ability to learn much about
the criminal justice system and individuals who commit crimes.
Because I have seen this side of the system, I am better able to
help victims. I have a working knowledge of the process they are
going through and the understanding and empathy it takes to
help them.

I am excited to contribute my talents and proficiency in

decision-making toward your team efforts. As an engaging
communicator with a proven track record in providing solid
counseling, my focus on building strong professional
relationships has been a beneficial asset throughout my career. I
feel that I will be able to join the team to achieve its mission of
helping victims of crime by providing support, information, and
assistance at every stage of the criminal process.

Please review my resume for a more in-depth illustration of my

work history and accomplishments. I would appreciate the
opportunity to interview at your earliest convenience. I’m eager
to discuss how my personality and background fit the Associate
Governmental Program Analyst.

Sincerely,

Andrea Garcia
