Arrange the melody on the next page for four voices in a homophonic texture.
Pay careful attention to the instructions underneath the grand staff—these in-
structions identify the voicing methods and approach methods that you must
use as you complete the assignment. The instructions given correspond to the
symbol key given below:

As you work, be careful of the following issues:

• Use SATB stem directions so that each voice may be easily identified.
• Anticipations: When you see a tied melodic tone on the “and” of four, use
the harmony of the chord in the following measure.
• Chord symbols: Some contain the alterations needed while others do not.
Consider using sixths rather than sevenths on the i and iv chords.
• Enharmonic spelling: For example, a B melody note may be the raised
ninth of a G7 chord.
• Harmonize every note of the melody.
