Art Therapy
1. What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy, a hybrid field largely influenced by the disciplines of art and
psychology, uses the creative process, pieces of art created in therapy, and third-
party artwork to help people in treatment develop self-awareness, explore
emotions, address unresolved emotional conflicts, improve social skills, and raise
self-esteem. Art therapy primarily aims to help individuals experiencing emotional
and psychological challenges achieve personal well-being and improved levels of
function.

2. What are the importance of Art Therapy?

Art therapy is used to people that have mental illness help them to boost
their mental health. their goal is to utilize the creative process to help people
explore self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight
and develop new coping skills. As clients create art, they may analyze what they
have made and how it makes them feel.

3. Enumerate the different Art Therapy exercises that you think will be the best way to
deal with the following:

a. Emotions - expressing emotions as weather it helps clients build


awareness and acceptance of emotions. This will focus entirely on
what you’re feeling.

b. Relaxation – this Let your creativity flow in response to music is a


great way to let out feelings and just relax.

c. Reflecting your personal happiness - helps you appreciate and


focus on the good. all about reflecting on your personal happiness.

d. Knowing your self and your relationships with others – this is a


great way to get to know yourself and your relationships with others is
through portraits. This must be reflect on what you see yourself in
future and reflects who you are and change your path through life.

e. Trauma and Loss - face some unpleasant aspects of life, but with
the goal of overcoming them. it can showcase an important moment
in your life or some trauma that you’ve experienced.

f. Knowing your self - examine aspects if who you are and how you
see the world through, drawings of your good traits will help you to
become more positive and build a better self-image.

g. Expressing your gratitude - will help you be happy about what you
have and express your gratitude for it to others.

h. How mind works - Make a visual representation of your thoughts to


figure out how your mind works. If youre having a bad dreams and
what goes in your dreams.

i. Self empowerment – make a portrait to empower you or energize


your spirit through, by using natural materials for example can help
you get in touch with the natural world and the more primal side of
yourself.

4. For your own Art Therapy, what are the exercises that you think will be the best to
make your mind and spirit sing? Why?

Relaxation, in this way I can express myself with the help of music and I can
freely flow to draw and express all happiness, with this I can share my art to others
letting to know about myself
