 What is the journey for man
Pleasure and fun travels, adventure travels, fantasy travels,
space travel, a journey to discover new cultures and new
populations. The journey can be seen in many aspects but
for anyone who undertakes it it represents a life
experience, good or bad, which brings important inner
changes. After a trip we feel endowed with a new richness
which, once we return home, will also in uence our daily
life. Man, in fact, has the wonderful ability to perceive and
assimilate what happens around him. Traveling means
liberation, health, happiness but above all being together
with different people in a wonderful adventure. Upon
returning from the trip, the most gratifying certainty that
remains in our hearts is that of having felt the world closer
than ever to us, of having owned it even for a short time
and having tasted it in its wonderful details: it is the pride
of those who loves to travel to know and love more the
beauties that surround us. what an effort daily life.

In the Middle Ages, unlike today, traveling was much
more dif cult because there were no means of
transport, the conditions of the communication routes
were therefore very precarious. in fact usually people
traveled for very important reasons such as study,
cultural study or even religious reasons.
People moved mainly on foot and only the very wealthy
could afford a horse to make the journey easier.
With the development of history, traveling becomes a
mass event: from the spiritual act with pilgrimages to
shrines and places to purify their sins, to the long
journeys of merchants who move from city to city for
their trade.

 Travel nowadays
Over time, the concept of travel has evolved and,
unlike the Middle Ages, two fundamental things have
changed: the reasons for the trip and the means.
While in the Middle Ages travel was important
cultural experience today most travel is done for fun
and relaxation, unfortunately people are starting to
lose the true meaning of travel without taking the
opportunity to visit wonderful places and make
important cultural experiences.
As for the means, today traveling is not dif cult at all
since the movements mainly take place by car or train
and to reach places overseas or very distant low to take
the plane, I am very proud of this thing since without
spending a lot of money the travel has become an
experience within everyone's reach

 Comparison between travelers and tourists

The tourist is the one who seeks a normal relaxing holiday,
the holiday is planned in the smallest details with a common
program. The "average" tourist must nd all the comforts so
that he can feel at home. The tourist is devoid of awareness:
he moves, he does not travel, because traveling means
discovering while the tourist thinks only of himself and his
pleasure.Tourists often prefer to be guided, buy "pre-arranged
packages" and travel in groups. He prefers to have a pre-
de ned schedule rather than take care of the organizational
and logistical details himself. Often he does not know the
local language and does not seek contacts with the locals.
The traveler, on the other hand, is the one who is completely
immersed in the reality that the tourist does not want to see.
The traveler has the sole objective of discovering and is willing
to do so by bringing the utmost respect for the places,
traditions and people he meets.

the eyes of a child, the soul of a traveler and the manner of a
gentleman on a rst date." it is he or she who eats local food,
talks to the local people, slowly enters into local customs and
traditions. He does not consume, but slowly savors every aspect
