Letter

Dear Mr Smith,

My name is Linda, I live in room 101, dormitory D4 of Newyork University. I am writing this letter to
express my dissatisfaction with the noise and security of the dormitory recently.

Firstly, in the previous week, some rooms in the dormitory, specifically rooms 103 and 105, regularly
held parties, turned on the radio until very late, greatly affect the learning process as well as the
activities of other rooms. Although we reminded them, they not only did not recognize mistakes, but
also had a challenging attitude. By the time I write this letter, they still show no signs of stopping.

Secondly, We are very concerned about the fact that outsiders can easily access the dormitory. On May
22, our dormitory building had a phenomenon of losing things because some strangers broke in.
Occasionally we saw some strangers in the hallway without getting any notice of their appearance. We
feel quite worried about our privacy as well as our safety.

Under the circumstance, I really hope that the dormitory management will come up with tougher rules
in dealing with noise as well as controlling the entrance of strangers.

I look forward to hearing from you

Your sincerely,

Linda

It is undeniable that public transport is increasingly popular in the world thanks to its convenience and
environmental friendliness compared to other means of transport. However, this type of traffic
participation is not yet popular in some areas. This essay will examine some of the main causes and
provide some solutions to deal with this problem.

To begin with, Some people find it more convenient to travel by private vehicle because they can be
flexible in time and destinations while public transport cannot meet this. Moreover, in remote areas, the
application of public transport is quite difficult, so residents are forced to use their personal vehicles to
go to school or work. Another reason is that people today are less concerned about environmental
issues, they do not have a clear awareness of the emissions from personal vehicles are gradually
destroying the atmosphere. Therefore, they tend to choose the means of transportation that suits them
best.

For the above reasons, it is essential for the government to come up with policies and measures to
encourage people to use public transport. First, the government should reform the infrastructure of
public transport, build dedicated sections of roads for cyclists to encourage them to limit their travel by
cars and motorbikes. Last but not least, it is necessary to organize conferences and press media to raise
people's awareness in environmental protection, the government needs to give appropriate punishment
to individuals who intentionally use personal means to damage the environment.

In conclusion, the use of public transport, although beneficial to the environment, is still limited in some
areas for certain reasons. The government should take timely actions and solutions to solve this
problem.
