To help you prepare for your thesis statement and
outline, read the handout attached in this module.
Part 1

In this essay, there will be two of you who will be tasked to write the
PSE. Therefore, it is now time for you to choose a partner to write the
PSE with.

Make sure that both you and your partner will agree on one topic
because the next activity will prepare you in writing your thesis
statement and outline.

I suggest that you look into the Sustainable Development Goals of the
United Nations as this can give you ideas about related topics.
Submit your topic in the assigned Assignment Box for this on the set
deadline. (10 points)
Part 2
Now that you know how a thesis statement and an outline of
problem-solution essay should look like, it is about time that you
create your own thesis statement and outline.
Before you do so, discuss with your partner your plan in writing your
PSE. You may start by discussing your thesis statement before
planning your outline. In planning your outline, you need sources to
support your problem and the solutions. Make sure that you have
sufficient sources before you write your essay.

With the help of your partner, decide on your thesis statement and
outline. Submit your thesis statement and outline in the assigned
Assignment Box on the set deadline. (20 points)
