Task 2

1. What kind of human beings do you want to send into the world at graduation?

They say that the key to a successful career or life, in general, is a quality education.
Attaining a higher education is a ticket to a bright future.

As a teacher, I want fully-equipped human beings to send into a world at graduation. I

want a student that not only equipped with the context of every book and module but can
apply all the skills and learning’s in real life.
Students must prepare for the real world. Knowledge, skills, and the ability to adapt to
a work environment are necessary to survive the real world.

2. Are your schools organized to do that?

Yes, we can organize to do that. In order to do that, we need to change those

practices that are not really helpful in developing the students learning. As educators,
we constantly strive to prepare our students for the ‘real world’ that exists around them.

To achieve the kind of human being that I want to send into the world at graduation,
teachers need to consider or follow the following:

Eliminate permanent failure because students who have not yet achieved the
standard will still have the opportunity to do so; and Eliminate compromised standards
because students would be expected to achieve the identified outcome before moving on.
Reduce rote learning, absorption of miscellaneous facts, and slavish adherence to
procedural knowledge; Increase students' ability to appreciate and deal with realistic
situations like those that will engage them later in life; and Eliminate tracking because
expects all students to achieve the same outcomes, although perhaps at different times.
