1 Motivation Activity 1 “Puzzle Me Out”
Present a word puzzle game to the learners.
Give them 1mintue to answer the game and proceed to the next words.
2. Activity Activity 2” Problem Solving Scenario”
1.You wake up and see that your alarm never went off. So you are starting your morning 15 minutes later than you planned. It is a really
important day at school and you cannot be late. What could you do?
2.After basketball practice you go back to the locker room with your team to shower and change. When you are done dressing, you can't find
your shoes. What could you do?

3.You are taking a test and there is no talking allowed. You are writing your answers on the paper and your pencil breaks. What could you do?
3. Analysis How did you find the activity?
Is it asy to solve problems?
How do you handle different situatuions?
4. Abstraction Discuss the Problem Solving Steps, Tips and Solutions.Refer to page 29-30 on the MyDev Module 3 module.
Ask:
 What are the steps in Problem Solving?
 Why do we need to define the problem in a certain situation?
 Why do we need to know what are the possible solution in a problem?

To solve problems, it is important to make decisions. The steps to solving problems can help us make good decisions.
5. Application Direction: Analyze the jumbled basic steps of problem solving arrange it systematically from first to the last step.

 Evaluate the solution


 Get more information about the problem
 Choose a solution
 Define the problem
 Generate many ideas on how to solve a problem
 Implement the solution

C. Evaluation Select at least one scenario from Scenarios for Problem Solving and use the 6 problem solving steps to help solve the problem.
Apply the appropriate solution to identify the problem.
Refer to pages 30-34 on the MyDev Module 3 Scenario 3.5
D. Agreement Write any thoughts or ideas that have come to mind on problem solving & decision making.
