Why do people want to see the future? Is it a good or a better version of today? Or, just another
nightmare that we just want to see and change?

People want to see their future because they believe that there are greater things set for them. They
dream and expect something spectacular will happen. They are also eager to unfold the mysteries of the
world. If you are given a chance to see the future, will you change it? Or, will you let things happen?

Unfortunately, we can’t see the future, we are not peculiar or special that can see what is ahead of us.
We can’t see what will happen to us, we can’t see what will be our future and who are we going to be in
the future. But guess what? We have the power of imaginations and predictions, a power where our
mind can freely play and think.

A wise person once said, what we are today will be our preparation for tomorrow. If we take a chance to
observe our living today, we will surely be disappointed to ourselves. Philippines is one of the famous
country where tourists are attracted. That’s why Philippines is really thirsty and eagerly chases progress,
advancement, enhancement and development. Hence, Philippines is slowly becoming a country that is a
servant of money.

Today, people do filthy stuffs to have money, be it a woman or man; a young or adult; rich or poor.
Anyone can stretch their hands to greater heights until their hands got spilled by blood. Because of
money, people trust no one because even the trusted ones who govern our society are showing no
mercy to have money. Today, people under the line of wealth rules once they have money, they have
power, a power over the people who are under the line of poverty.

Maybe people underestimated money since it is just some piece of paper but little we did know, right
now, people can’t live without money. Right now, people are becoming dependent to money. Right
now, every move must be regard to money. Right now, people will starve without money. Right now,
people will look like shit without money. Right now, people lost their dignity because of money. Right
now, people will degrade others who’s without money. Money overpowers the lives of the people and
the society as a whole.

For me, future is a scary tense because future is now being unpredictable. If I happened to live during
the past life where progress are just being discovered, maybe I could still feel the excitement but now,
where I witness and feel the greed of the people towards money, it scares me. Other people may think
technology is an I.D to pass through a better future and other people may think wealth is a great tool to
witness and experience the better future. But, for me, it is a horror movie which I am really scared of
that I don’t want to watch. I don’t want to see neither to live to tomorrow if money still thrones over the
people. Where survival arises and greed foster; where filthy rich people degrades the poor ones; where
people who possess power are being the scary predator while petty under the line of poverty are the
scared prey. Now, do you still want to see the future?
