 System requirements

• Internet Bandwidth: The minimum required bandwidth is 1 Mbps of internet speed on each
machine.
• Machine Configuration: RAM - RAM - Minimum 2GB (though 4GB is recommended), Processor
Speed- 1.5 Ghz and above. Preferred Operating System – Windows 10.
• Wheebox Examine Browser must be installed in order to appear for the test. Users can
download it from the examination portal. (This will not work on MACBOOK OR MOBILE PHONE
OR SAFARI BROWSER)
• Preferred browsers: For taking the test, recommended browsers are Google Chrome (Ver. 75 or
above), Mozilla Firefox (Ver. 70 or above).
• A web camera must be available for the test. Must have Laptop/Desktop for taking the test.
• Microphone is recommended.
• Valid Id proof. – Student ID Card/Government ID Card
• If your internet disconnects during submission contact the Help center on the given number and
don't close your window.
• Make sure that pop-up blocker is disabled on your browser.
• Make sure firewall settings are OFF and any previously downloaded Safe Exam Browser should
be uninstalled. Any screensharing applications/software’s should be disabled such as Any desk,
TeamViewer etc.

Process for Installing Wheebox Exam Browser

Refer to LINK shared to download Wheebox Exam Browser before exam.

Once you have already downloaded the browser, on the date of test, you will just have to open the exam
on this browser. Refer to candidate login process shared in the document below.
Preferred browsers: For taking the test, recommended browsers are Google Chrome (Ver. 75 or above),
Mozilla Firefox (Ver. 70 or above). THIS WILL NOT WORK ON MACBOOK OR A MOBILE PHONE. THIS WILL
ONLY WORK ON WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM. (UPDATED VERSION)

If Wheebox Exam Browser is not downloaded beforehand, you will get an option to download the same
on the day of exam and it will consume your time. Process as follows-

Step- 1 On selection of a test, the following page will be displayed. If “Wheebox Examine Browser” is not
installed, click on the “Download” button.

Step-2 On clicking the Download button, the system will prompt to store the WEB setup file in the default
downloads folder.

Step-3 The WEB setup will start downloading. In a few minutes, the WEB setup will finish downloading.

Step-4 Once the WEB setup is downloaded, go to the downloads folder and double click on the setupfile.

The following screen may be displayed. Click on “Run” on this prompt.

Step-5 The WEB setup will start installing.

Click on “Next” when prompted by the installation Wizard. The WEB will be installed in the default
Program Files.

Candidate Login and Dashboard

Candidate can login using the login credentials from the Home Page.

On Login, candidate will be able to see the test assigned. Candidate will get just once attempt to complete
the assessment. The test selection page appears as follows-

When you login again using the same login credentials, the system will prompt you to open the Wheebox
Examine Browser. Click on “Open Safe Exam Browser” when prompted to start the test in Wheebox
Examine Browser.

Pre-Examination Steps

As it is a remote proctoring assessment, please make sure you have a functional web cam or front camera
on your mobile device.

Step-1 System will check the Operating Environment. Click on START to check for Camera, Microphone,
browser and internet speed.

Once system checks all the pre-requisites, then you can click on Continue

Candidate will have to click four images as per the instructions for face recognition.

Step 2 Candidate clicks his image using Webcam or front camera of the Mobile device

Candidate clicks his ID proofs image. ID proof can be any College ID.- Student ID Card or any Government
ID card

Step 3 After uploading the image, candidate must wait for approver to approve the Image and ID Card by
an approver.

Step 4 As soon as approver approves, the candidate gets notification. Post approval, candidate test will
automatically start as per specified test time

Step 5 Candidate need to read instructions carefully and Check the acceptance button and click start test
You will be landed in Waiting lounge where you need to wait to start the test. Test will start automatically
on their scheduled time and Proceed Now in Grey color will be highlighted in Green. Timer will be display
remaining time to start the test.

Coding Test

Candidate needs to select the language from dropdown to attempt the Coding question. Write the code,
compile the code written for every question and move to next question. Without compiling, if the
candidate moves to next question, this will result in losing the code written previously. Submit the
assessment when it is completed in all respects.

 Proctoring during the assessment

• There is a proctor who is monitoring the candidates all the time & at any time the proctor can send
a warning to the candidate.
• Proctors can chat with candidates during the assessment. Candidates can clarify doubts.
• Candidates images are being tracked by the proctor and proctor can view the live video of the
candidate during the assessment. Be aware that during the test your pictures will be clicked and will be
saved on server.
• Candidate using a mobile phone will be detected on camera and messages are flashed to proctors.
• Proctors can come on a live video for a room scan/environment scan during the assessment.
• Proctors can pause the assessment, if they find any candidate involved in unfair practices during
the assessments.
• A warning is displayed in case somebody else tries to attempt candidate’s test.

• Candidate needs to sit properly facing the webcam. A warning is displayed in case of improper
posture.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the minimum system requirements and internet requirements for the online exam?

Laptop with an embedded Camera / separate Web Cam unit for appearing for the examination. Please
note that this is mandatory. Note that in case you do not have a Web Camera, you will not be able to
take the examination.

Please refer to Page num-3 of this document for system requirements.

2. What if there are frequent internet disruptions during the exam? Can I still take the exam?

Yes, resuming test is possible within the stipulated time allotted for exam.

3. Whom should I contact if I require some technical support during the exam?

Please connect with your college student coordinator. They will compiler your queries and share with
Wheebox support team for resolution.

4. I am not using a windows laptop. Can I still take the exam?

As you need to take this test on Wheebox Safe Exam Browser, it is a mandatory requirement to install
this on Windows OS only. It does not work on any other OS.

5. How to allow camera and microphone: -
